No team that lost is starting QB to the NFL draft won a National Championship the following year that i can recall in 30 years.
You'd be better off batting on a team that has returned with the starting QB who has a chance.

I can think of 2-3 off the top of my head. The previous quarterback wasn’t a lottery pick, but was lost and did get drafted.

Pretty sure Tebow won in year 1 as a starter and leak was drafted. Pretty sure AJ Mccarron at Alabama won year 1 and he replaced McElroy who got drafted. Also think it happened at clemson

Think USC mightve had one. Also think Cam Newton followed a drafted QB but those may be wrong
