Well in football today so far so good with winners in NFL on New England, Seattle (bet it for double the amount), Seattle on the moneyline, and Virginia in college football. Washington though getting smoked though I was warned. Oh well still been a great day and we will see if we can get a little back at half on Washington bet.

Co-Captain,

Thanks on the bowl game of year. Hopefully you got some New England and Seattle as well. In regards to Alamo Bowl, I am going with Michigan St. They have played well on road this year and the way to beat Nebraska is through the air which is where Jeff Smoker comes in. He is a senior who won't be intimidated by Cornhuskers. Nebraska also rarely wins in the state of Texas. Also, I like John L. Smith to outcoach Pellini in this one. Michigan St. wins by touchdown. best of luck

I agree through the air, but need some sort of ground game to go along with the air assult. Neb's DB's against the pass is solid. But dont know if Mich St. defense can take the ground pounding . They had three games against teams who run it first pass 2nd, Mich, ohio st. and Wisc. , and they lost pretty convincing esp. Wisc. Still spooky, read something about Neb players wanting to boycott the game unless pelini was hired. They decided to play and said that they are going to do it for him. Dont know if Smoker is tough enough to take on the Neb boys. He looks soft. What do you think.

One thing to keep in mind is that Michigan St. played Minnesota at their place and pummeled them. Gophers are the #1 rushing team in the nation. OSU does not have much of a running game so I think they are a bad example. The type of team that runs on Spartans is a power running team. Nebraska is a finesse running team. Smoker is a tough sob. He can handle the black shirts. I know both of these teams pretty well and I can tell you the wrong team is favored.

Well, teams with one dimension. one pass, and one run. Heres something I found about this type of matchup , just FYI nothing else.

How important is the rushing game in BowlS? Consider that more than 140 Bowl games played since 1991 , the team gaining more rushing yards in a Bowl game has covered at better than a 79% clip. compare that to the 51% ats success rate enjoyed by the team gaining more passing yards. The team that has the better average yards per rush in a Bowl game(not necessarily the same team that gains the most rushing yards) has covered at slightly under a 75% rate. THAT'S how strong the rushing game is.

Just found this trend and thought I share just for your FYI , and not to contradict your selection.

I know you are concentrating on MSU being one dimensional but so is Nebraska as Jamal Lord can't pass. Thanks for trend but I think it applies to both teams here. Good luck.

Nice job Kojak you helped me look at the Seattle side. Eagles game was never in doubt just as a thought. I'm glad we both had winning days.

Gary Philly,
Wish I would have listened to you on Philly, though I made my money back on Philly in 2nd half. Best of luck tomorrow. Nice job today!

Co-Captain,

I have not made my mind up yet on MSU and Nebraska but lean towards MSU. the under might be the better play. Also, I did take Lamar tonight at +18. I do think the backdoor is open. Do you have a link where I can listen to the game?

Co Captain,

I really appreciate it. Looks like so far I didn't need the 18 as by the looks of the score Lamar is playing well. Best of luck.
