Saturday is one of the more interesting day's of the year with each game having some meaning for the playoffs.

New England- I don't like laying this many points with a defensive team but the fact that Pats have been throwing some shutouts at home is huge. Bills have struggled on offense all year and with this as a BIG Revenge game for Pats and homefield on the line, Pats should have their A game in this one. Pats 24 Bills 3

Seattle- I know that Seahawks have been terrible on the road and 49ers have been a very good home team but I think Seattle will break through in this one. Seattle is 1-1 straight up and 2-0 ats on the road vs NFC West and should have won in St. Louis two weeks ago. Garcia won't have his security blanket Owens who is out though Lloyd and company stepped up in Philly last Sunday. They won't play as big of a role this week as Rhodes would have had an entire week to prepare for the offense without Owens. Difference in this game will be turnovers. Barlow and Garcia will turn the ball over to Seattle who is in the top 5 in turnover differential and Hasselbeck and co will capitalize to put the pressure on Minnesota and Green Bay on Sunday. Seahawks 31 49ers 28

Washington Redskins- Originally I thought Philly might blow out Skins but I think with the fact that this is a rivalry Skins will be game. Skins defense should be up to the challenge as well as Bruce Smith will be playing in his last game. Skins have played well at home all year except for debacle against Cowboys and I expect the home fans to help them stay competitive in this one. Eagles 20 Redskins 17

Best of luck.

I would be shocked if Seattle beats the Niners. They are on fire right now and always play well in these Saturday games. Classic Erickson team they play great just in time not to mean anything. If you think about the Niners could be 11-4 or 12-3 right now. They lost to AZ and STL in OT, they should have won both games. They lost to CLE when they were up 12-0 with 6 minutes left. And finally they were beating SEA by 2 points and had the ball with 2 minutes left when Hearst fumbled and they lost 20-19. This is a big time revenge game for the Niners and Erickson will knock is former team out. Not to mention Garcia is playing for his job right now, he has one bad game and they Niners cut him and huge contract next year.

We normally agree and when we agree it has been good. However, I can't play the redskins this week even with play money. Redskins offense will struggle vs now healthy Philly defense. Washington has been having all kinds of problems on the defensive side as well. Andy Reid vs Spurrier is a joke. Laying less than a TD to me is a go for Philly. If Philly scores 20 points they will get the cover(they'll have more than 20). Philly wins by 17....

Yours in Winners
Bernie

P.S. I'll pass on SF/Seattle but if I had a gun to my head I'd take SF

Man from Troy and Bernie Vegas,

I know there are a couple of strange picks in Seattle and Washington but I feel very confident especially on Seattle. Best of luck to the both of you.

For all of you Eagles lovers, with Vincent out who is their 3rd and 4th corners? I think Vincent being out will play a major role as I think Skins will play a lot of 3 and 4 receiver sets and run Cartwright right at their 28th ranked run defense.

Here you go Lito Shepard will start in Vincent's spot. He's their 1st round pick from a year ago from Florida. Sheldon Brown will play in the nickel and Roderick Hood will play in the dime. These young guys are fearless and they played well vs Buffalo when both starters were out. They're not tall but they can cover and are not scared.

Also don't forget they have 2 pro bowlers, Dawkins and Taylor to help them. If the skins fall behind, the will try to pass agains Jim Johnson's mind boggling blitz packages.

Gary,

I really think Skins run tomorrow. But I will play devils advocate here and say Taylor covers Coles (who is faster than Taylor), Dawkins plays on Gardner, who plays Thompson? Who covers tight end and Candidate out of backfield which is usually Dawkins job? If Spurrier can exploit these mismatches and Hasselbeck executes, I think this is a bad matchup on defense for Philly.

I think Philly won't be able to use their entire blitz packages in 3 or 4 wide receiver sets with all of these rookies expected to cover some very talented receivers. The more I talk here the more I am thinking Skins have chance. I know Dallas blew them out in last home game but I don't see Skins laying two eggs at home vs 2 of their closest rivals.

Gary,

I would like to note here also as I am Big Rams fan so I am a little bias against Eagles but I think they win but don't cover. I do like value at 8. Skins beat Pats,Jets, and Seahawks at home this year and besides Dallas loss, they played Giants,Bucs, and Saints fairly close. Good luck to you anyway tomorrow as I do hope Eagles win as dad is big Boys fan and I would love for them to come to St. Louis and get spanked.

OOH, now I understand why you don't like the Eagles in this spot. I'm an Eagles fan BUT I will bet against them in the right situation. The Rams have been good to me this year at home. Everyone here is terrified of playing the Rams IN THE DOME. I'll cap the game if or when it comes.

Aloha Kojak, I am on the first two picks, but the Wash/ Philly game is a toss up, only because of the number. What is Steve Spurriers situation with the team. I am always cautious of him when his back is against the wall. Thanks .

Kojak,

I'm an Eagles lover and with Tim Hasselback QBing the Skins I'd put the Lesniak kid out there from Minooka and I'd still bet the Eagles.

Looks like game 1 wins as New England up 28-0 at halftime. Next up Seattle.
