I'm no Bret Bielema fan (past or present) but his over-all college coaching record to-date is (79 W & 41 L).....some coaches would envy that record.
When it was first announced that he would be coaching at Arkansas, I always felt he would have a problem blending in with the culture of the SEC.
(no easy task for any new hire). Bielema is an Illinois boy (by birth), he cut his teeth in the upper Mid-West (Big 10).

Urban Meyer , who was, arguably, quite successful coaching in the SEC (Florida) went back to his roots (Ohio)...the Mid-West. Rumor had it, he was fed-up coaching at Florida (the SEC). Sometimes "arranged marriages" don't work in the long-run

Texas A&M is going to destroy The Razorbacks this week, I was expecting a -14 point line. A&M is one one of the most athletic teams in all of the NCAA right now and they are off a bye week.

They are not off a bye week. They played Nevada on Saturday and won 44-27

Bielema has a hot wife. She liked the warmer weather of Arkansas over Madison. What was Bielema going to do, say no to her? The fat fuk will never get that hot of a woman again. Especially after he goes 4-8 this year...

a&m played Nevada last week and got lit up by them on offense. Hell, Ball State torched them too. Be careful on loading up on a&m. They beat an overrated ASU team and two tomato cans in Ball State and Nevada, who they couldn't stop. It would not surprise me to see Arkansas play a&m close and pull out a win. a&m isn't that good of a team.

They beat an overrated ASU team and two tomato cans in Ball State and Nevada, who they couldn't stop. It would not surprise me to see Arkansas play a&m close and pull out a win. a&m isn't that good of a team.

Ags were up 49-3 at half against Ball St and backups played the entire 2nd half. Ball St ran the ball against 2nd/3rd string defense. Even at that they only threw for 120yds. I wouldn't say Ball St "torched" them though. I do expect Arky to be inspired however I just wonder if they have the weapons. It'll be like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Hogs have not been running the ball very well this year. If they have to throw it 30+ times, that just means that the Ags will get DD sacks. I don't think that big, slow OL for Arky can protect Allen if they have to throw it a bunch.

Hogs are down 3 wide receivers as well in addition to the RB Jonathan Williams, they seem to have lost a lot of firepower on offense. With William gone, maybe Bielma realizes that Collins can't carry the entire load so they have turned to the passing game which has not been very effective. I tried to catch the falling knife last week with Arky and got a nice cut for it, but who knows maybe they bounce back? I guess it all depends on the price, which does look a little high at this point.
