Just once I want to see a Tico refer to himself as an American....for that matter any non-US person.....now I knlow I will be hearing it all day long at my bar but that is the lamest argument or point that is brought up....hno:
I am sure you heard all these lines before but its both a pride thing (its as if a French would say "I am European......and you the rest are Spanish, German etc" and also a way to ridicule the knowledge that most 'American's' have in geography
The pride part I don't care, it doesnt affect me if 'Americans' want to call themselves 'Amexico' as it probably will in the future
I know of people that have refered themselves as Americans at ports of entry in the US and well.....the 'Americans' dont like it when you say 'I am American' and they see a Canadian/Mexican/any of the other 20+ countries
