no defense in the Nation has forced more turnovers than Hawaii's over the last three games. Yes they play in the WAC, yes they struggle against good defenses but they did just fine against Cincinnati and their defense is a RISK/REWARD type of defense that takes a lot of chances and goes for the turnovers. It has worked like a charm for them.

I'm all over Hawaii for this, good luck!

Again, I ask you which of the teams Notre Dame played had good offenses?

Statistically, you can add Navy, Purdue, and Michigan St to the list above as having better Offenses than Hawaii.

Look when Hawaii was under June Jones, it was typical for them to have bad running and a Top 10 Passing Offense. That is the difference this year. They are 33rd in Passing which is still good, but the attrition from last year on and off the field has hurt their game They are an image of what they've been in the past. They are 75th in Total Offense.

Are you saying that Hawaii plays good Offense? If so, then that is where we disagree. Thats why it doesn't bother me as much about your point on the "good" offenses Notre Dame has faced. I don't put Hawaii in that category. Their WR and QB play is no where near the past.

Playing at home still counts though.....and that is a cause for concern.

Since Alexander took over the Hawaii offense has been alot better as they are averaging 32 points per game since he became the fulltime starter to 21 points per game when he wasn't. Granted they played better defenses early in the year, but it has been improving each game.

Syracuse has one of the worst offenses in the nation and ND lost to them at home. They should have lost to San Diego St. too. I would put Syracuse and San Diego St. in 10 of the worst teams in the nation.

Its Notre Dame for me or nothing just so everyone knows. And it will probably me nothing for me as the Irish are not particularly my favorite team and I would enjoy a Rainbow win. But the Dame Defense is the key to winning or losing. They play well, they win.

A few more key facts. Both teams are in the 80's in turnover margin. Bad, bad, bad. But Hawaii is Top 25 in sacks.....that could be miserable for Clausen. Hawaii's kicker is bad, so they will gamble at times.

Hawaii is a better team at the end of the year, with young players gaining experience, and Notre Dame is simply......Notre Dame. Alot of motivations for both.

Merry Christmas everyone!
