I still don't understand how this news clears Stewart of any wrong doing. Though espns headline is "stewart clear." The kid had weed in his system. This must be the goerge zimmerman law. You can kill kids who smoke weed and get away with it because the kid was "impaired." These dumbasses need to put the bottle down and try some of that ganja and see if they can even make it up off their couch. Realtalk

I think he was either messed up on something or his elevator didn't go to the top floor. Jumping out on a dark dirt track to confront someone in a moving car is as stupid as it gets.

Thats what was reported. Someone interviewed Stewart that night and determined he didn't need a toxicology report. That seems oddly strange to me.

Yep...

Agree with this. Poor lighting and jumping out of the car. Unfortunate he was killed, but what a dumb ass.

it's really hard to believe 3 cars easily steered clear of Ward and Tony didn't see him. He definitely swerved towards him, the video is clear. Tony has to live with that lapse of judgement for the rest of his life, I wouldn't want it on my conscious.
I didn't see three cars "steer clear" of him. You may "may" be able to make the case of the car in front of Tony but that is it.

If you talk to most Police Officers and Prosecutors, if you are driving down a dimly lit road at night and somebody jumps out in front of your car, you won't be charged with manslaughter.

I'm not sure how this accident meets the element of a crime on T. Stewarts part.

Correct me if im wrong cuz I know nothing about racing. But doesn't this happen often? A guys day is cut short because someome hits their car...is it not normal to be pissed after that??
I thought this happens a lot without the hitting the guy

We'll never know but Stewart probably did wanna atleast scare the shit out of him right?

Either way the guys decision making is about as good as Geno Smith's and he probably deserved to die

Pit road or the cars on cruising under caution. The difference is the dirt track cars are made to slide around unlike cars on asphalt. I think TS probably tried to spray mud on the twerp but the idiot kept walking toward the moving car. Death wish came true. Never chase after a moving dirt track car that is built to slide around.
