Brett's consecutive start streak has to almost be the equivalent to your boy Ripken's streak. Both are amazing.

journey I am choking up and ready to swing only I cant seem focus on the pitcher so I keep calling for time...

I've never been this far ahead so early on and I'm afraid to make plays cause I know the reality is that I need to come down soon - hard and fast, its just the way the numbers work.

I'm trying to figure out a way to fade me from here on in till I get back to 50% but its really tough...

Yeah , or what about Unitas' TD streak?

Brett seems like a real guy...not knocking the Manning's but the way they acted this past week leads me to believe they think they are above all, which probably is the way they have lived with a QB dad their whole lives....disgusting display !

Eli and his smug looks as if he was appaled to have been drafted by the lowly Chargers...I won't be pulling for this chump!

brett didn't lose that philly game, mike sherman did.

for one thing, those third and shorts at about the philly 40 yard line, run the damn ball. no need to even pass it there, you have the best rb in the league.

no doudt brett makes bad decisions, but you have to remember his wrs get very, very little seperation.

hell, he threw for 27tds when his wrs were and old and done antonio freeman, and a never been ben schroder.

look at what those guys did the next year after leaving gb. both become the 3 wr. brett had those guys as his 1 and 2s.

look for another mvp for favre this up coming year, as those young wr started to come into their own the end of last season.

Jaypaw- I have been in the same spot, like you say its a numbers game and you must come back down...I had this same problem two summers ago....ended up crashing and burning because I stepped up my plays....great winning % and gave it all back....what ever you do, just don't step up your plays...

JMan-

Releasing Collins is a BAD idea. ALL QBs out of college need at least one year behind the clipboard to learn the NFL. Most of my Giants' problems last year were related to the OLine which should be better but there is no guarantee of that.

If Collins is released the deal for Eli looks even worse since the Giants traded a number 1 draft pick for the guy. The team will surely finish with a far worse record than they would have under Collins therefore giving the Chargers a highish draft pick.

C'mon...Rivers, 2004 number 3, 2005 numbers 1 and 5....that's a lot of cake for a QB with a solid bloodline.
