Back in town! My league starts On a special date.. March 21st!
Kentucky is peaking. Weather or not this matters...
POWER 36 RANKINGS | MARCH 11
Houston (1): The Cougars are the king of the Big 12.
UConn (2): The Huskies swept the road and won the Big East.
Purdue (3): The Boilermakers won the outright Big Ten title.
North Carolina (9): The Tar Heels got the sweep of Duke and the outright ACC title.
Kentucky (8): The Wildcats are rolling into the postseason with a road win at Tennessee.
Tennessee (5): The Vols won the SEC, but couldn’t close out Kentucky at home.
Illinois (11): Don’t sleep on the Illini, which got a road win at Iowa to close out the season.
Creighton (12): The Bluejays are surging at the right time with a road win at Villanova.
Marquette (13): The Golden Eagles were able to split the final two games without Tyler Kolek.
Arizona (6): The Wildcats were upset by USC after a win over UCLA and are still not playing their best basketball yet.
Iowa State (4): The Cyclones got upset by Kansas State but are still a real threat to win the Big 12 tournament.
Duke (10): The Blue Devils couldn’t catch UNC after an impressive road win at NC State.
Baylor (7): The Bears dropped a tough one at Texas Tech. They have loads of talent but lack of experience could prevent a deep run.
Gonzaga (17): The Zags are now the favorite as the No. 2 seed in the WCC tournament.
BYU (20): The Cougars have the high-octane offense to be a Sweet 16 team in a few weeks.
Auburn (21): The Tigers are an intriguing team heading into Nashville for the SEC tournament. Nothing would surprise me — an early exit or winning the tournament.
Florida (23): The Gators had a tremendous win over Alabama but then fell flat to Vanderbilt, losing by one.
Alabama (14): The Tide got by Arkansas in OT but must play better if they’re going to make serious noise in the SEC tournament after losing at Florida.
South Carolina (15): The Gamecocks got the bounce back road win over Mississippi State after losing at home to Tennessee. Lamont Paris should be SEC coach of the year.
Saint Mary’s (CA) (19): The Gaels are the top seed in the WCC, and winning that event would do wonders for their final seed line.
Utah State (22): The Aggies won the MWC with a late 3 to topple New Mexico at home.
Boise State (29): The Broncos beat San Diego State on the road for the most impressive win of the MWC season.
FAU (NR): Welcome back to the Power 36. The Owls are back in form after beating Memphis.
Nevada (33): The Wolf Pack are surging at the right time under Steve Alford and should be safely in the field.
Nebraska (26): The Huskers earned a No. 3 seed in the Big Ten tournament under potential Big Ten coach of the year Fred Hoiberg.
Texas Tech (NR): The Red Raiders finished strong by beating Oklahoma State and Baylor at home.
Drake (NR): The Bulldogs won the Missouri Valley Conference tournament to earn the automatic bid, forcing Indiana State to sweat out Selection Sunday.
Loyola-Chicago (28): Drew Valentine has had a remarkable season, claiming a piece of the A-10 title and a top two seed in the A-10 tournament.
Colorado (NR): The Buffaloes are earning a potential bid with a sweep of the Oregon schools on the road.
Northwestern (32): The Wildcats continue to defy the odds, playing two starters down and still earning a double-bye with the No. 4 seed in the Big Ten tournament.
Washington State (18): The Cougars were upset by rival Washington but are still the second seed in the Pac-12 tournament.
South Florida (16): The AAC-champion Bulls beat Tulane but were upset by Tulsa to end the season.
Pittsburgh (NR): The Panthers have won three in a row and finished fourth in the ACC.
Kansas (25): The Jayhawks are limping into the postseason. Hopefully they can get healthy for a deep run.
Seton Hall (NR): Shaheen Holloway has done an exceptional job in getting the Pirates in position for a likely NCAA Tournament berth.
Princeton (36): The Tigers won the Ivy League and are primed for another magical March if they can win the two-game Ivy League tournament.
Dropped out: San Diego State (24), Richmond (27), Iowa (30), Indiana State (31), Villanova (34), Syracuse (35)
