Show them the video as well. I think they will be very interested in your investigative prowess. Maybe have a look at the Zapruder film and tell us what you think. Thanks.cheersgif

If you're sick of this please disregard, but some of us are horse players. The outcome of this race will be debated for years.

Luis Saez has been handed a 15 day suspension by the Kentucky stewards, of course to cover their sorry asses.

New slow mo and rewind video.

Feels like the stewards are pissed because they're being scrutinized & half the country thinks they stole the trophy away from Max Sec.......IMO, they made the wrong call.

Now Saez is suspended for 15 days cuz the stewards say he was at fault, no matter what the video actually shows.

Just like the Saints playoff game, no matter what happened in front of millions of people & 2 refs standing there, they called it the way they wanted to see the outcome.

My question for next years derby is this......there will.be bumping, horses being cut off pulling up, etc......& if no horse is disqualified, the public will complain why not? The stewards opened a can of worms after disqualifying Max Sec & in doing so, the first & only one in the 145 year history.

it's a shame that people think it's about the money lost for a player. It has nothing to do with that.

It's what the stewards took away from this Horse, it's owners, Jockey, Trainer, Breeder and the Public

Bumping in the early stages of a race is often ignored unless a horse goes down which is rare. In the later stages of a a race infractions are looked at more seriously.. I've been a fan for nearly 50 years and bet Max Sec.

The jockey suspected an infraction by his immediate words after the race..

That's like saying a pass interference is never called before the 50 yard line, its more relevant after the 50 when a team is going in for a score.

You either call it through out the race or don't call it at all.......especially in a 20 horse field.

But looking at the video, WOW was up Max Sec butt.......hence the move Max made.

They ruined the sports greatest race and they were too scared to talk to the press about it, somewhat surreal

There is no comparison in the way the 2 sports are officiated. I rarely agree with Michael 777, but he is 100% correct here!

You can agree with anyone you want, we live in america where you're allowed to give your opinion. My opinion is both sports, well all sports have crooked people officiating them.

The sport will decline with the younger generation . The one hope it has is to remove drugs as much as possible and enforce it... Tough because one drugs can hide another and some are very clever.
I don't know how to save it but if you think for one second the horse did not deserve to come down, you know nothing about the sport.

Problem with that is that some of us know a lot about the sport and don't think that he deserved to come down.

Do you think Gary Stevens, Bob Baffert, and Andy Beyers know anything about the sport? They didn't think he deserved to come down either.

Not too scared to suspend the jockey though. Yep, they're doubling down on it.

https://www.courier-journal.com/sto...-suspended-because-kentucky-derby/1189123001/

Yet in suspending jockey Luis Saez for 15 days for “for failure to control his mount” when Maximum Security drifted into the path of other horses, the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has nullified the moral high ground of rules being applied uniformly no matter the situation.

For Saez to receive a relatively harsh 15 days, without additional explanation from the KHRC, seems arbitrary at best and vengeful at worst.
