John F. Kennedy Jr., was killed in 1999 when the plane he was flying crashed into the Atlantic Ocean
John F Kennedy Junior, JFK's son, died while flying his light aircraft to the holiday island of Martha's Vineyard.

He reportedly became disoriented during the night flight and then crashed into the ocean on July 16, 1999.

He was travelling with his wife Carolyn and sister-in-law Lauren Bessette to attend the wedding of his cousin.

One of my favorite Phil Hendrie interviews (during his radio days) was with pilot Art Griego who theorized JFK Jr deliberately flew the plane into the ocean because his wife and mother-in-law would not stop talking in the back seats
