Kansas ML

Reesing leads the nation in passing yards, Desmond Briscoe is one of the best receivers in the Big 12, and our defense bosts aguably the best linebacking core in the Big 12 as well.

KU is 21-6 in nonconference games under head coach Mark Mangino.

South Florida could barely get it done against UCF and needed overtime to do so,

So you're saying Kansas will cover because USF had to go to overtime to beat UCF? Who exactly has Kansas beaten? Kansas beat one team with a pulse last year and that was Virginia Tech in the bowl game (and Virg. Tech's QB situation is awful). Kansas didn't pay anyone during the regular season last year until Missouri in the last game of the season and they got beat handily. I don't understand why everyone is so sure Kansas covers this game so easily.

Texas A&M didn't have a pulse, K-State didn't have a pulse; they both beat Texas and were both ranked at one point in the season. And since when is getting beat by one posession (36-28) "handily"

How bout you do your homework before you talk shit you don't know about.

I would lean South Florida, but what the heck happened in their bowl game when Oregon was playing withou Dennis Dixon. Didn't they lose by like 40? Not a very good showing against a Power Conference school who's talent level is probably on par with this years Kansas team.

If you watched the Missouri game you know they got beat handily. Come on dude, Missouri was leading 28-7 going into the fourth quarter. Yes, Kansas tried to make a comeback but the game was not as close as the final. I knew when I posted that they didn't play anyone until Missouri that someone would say "but we beat Kansas State and Texas A&M!" Yes, they beat Kansas State and Texas A&M but neither team was very good. I remember both of those wins but if those are the best two wins you have to hang your hat on then that's not saying much. Beating Virginia Tech was their most impressive win but again that was a Virginia Tech team with major QB issues. Kansas was not a top ten caliber team but the schedule set up for them last year in the regular season (no Oklahoma, no Texas and Missouri at the end of the season). I give Kansas and Mangino credit for turning the program around and no doubt they were a good team but nowhere near a great team. Their non-conference schedule last year was laughable. I have done plenty of homework and Kansas' schedule ranking last year was extremely bad. It was not a secret.

You will be singing a different tune after we take care of Tech and UT at home this year.

Of course. BB doesn't post polls like this for no reason. He'll post SFla as his play by Friday

I agree and disagree.

I think he has done this for a reason.
I don't think he will post south florida. It will be kansas.

Actually I probably won't be singing a different tune because I think Kansas will beat Texas Tech. Texas Tech is a fraud every year that beats up on bad teams and then gets exposed against good teams. Beating Texas Tech at home will not be impressive to me. Texas is typically overrated in most years but beating them would be a good win for Kansas and I think they have a decent shot at winning that game. Look, I know it's hard to be objective when talking about your own team (I have never had a problem speaking objectively about my team when I am handicapping though) but the Kansas schedule last year was laughable. The four out of conference wins were as weak of a schedule as I have ever seen and then you don't get either of the best two teams in the south division on your schedule and get the second best team in the league in the last regular season game. I give Kansas credit for beating a good but not great Virginia Tech team and I give them credit for having a good team last year but I don't believe they were close to one of the top 5 teams in the country.

I like Kansas in this game. SF has both of their RB's with ankle sprains. IF they play them then these RB will have a hard time making any real cuts/jukes/moves. So that could make SF running game North & South.

I feell Kansas has the better QB even if his top WR is out. He has two other WR that can produce numbers.

This is not a big play game for me maybe 2 units on Kansas.

This game should come down to one TD or less so either way it will most likely be close.

relax everyone. Everything I said earlier remains the same except I transposed the teams. If you went to the website I posted earlier obviously that's what I meant. I agree he will definately need south Florida. That will definately be my bet because last time I checked the public is 75% on KANSAS.

Sorry for all of the confusion.

If this is true, why would you say you agree and disagree with my post? Which part do you agree with, and which do you disagree with? Or did you mean you agree and agree? :lolBIG:

You are correct. Missouri dominated that game. A couple of late TDs by Kansas in garbage time ... very misleading final score.

I with you hackerdog. Kansas is overrated and the qb is overrated. I love the public reaction to things. See USF played on ESPN where a lot of people got to watch them so call struggle against UCF. While Kansas struggle against lousiana tech but no one knows this cause the stats and score say other wise. But if you watch the kansas game their offense was very weak in the first half and if it wasnt for some horrible turnovers by louisana tech in kansas territory game may have been much closer.

The only truth to Kansas is their defense. I really think under 48 is also a good play. But SFLA at -3 will be hammered by me and if its at -3.5 i may not hammer it as hard but will play it.
