You can’t put a certain year of experience on a position and never hire someone less qualified.

It happens in every job in life. People get hired due to many things other than experience and qualifications honestly. I know that’s what the conventional way of hiring is. But the times have changed old timer

They might require 6 years of experience. And you have 2. But you are the right person for the job based on other important things.

Juwan out of the Fab 5 from what I hear was always the adult in the room. If they had a game the next day or a test the next day...he wasn’t out partying.

What people say about you means a lot. His connections mean a lot. As well as his six years as an assistant coach under great coaches. He has developed some great people around him. His support system will be legit. It’s not even close...he is the right man for the job.

+1 couldn't agree more. I believe his strength will be recruiting which we will see years to come. Phil Martelli was a great hire by Howard. A very genius and humble hire. Martelli helped a lot with in game coaching during these first few games.
