There Was A Query A While Back

Re. average age of RX posters. Seem to remember most thought it was around 35? After this guy I think it`s closer to 12. What a moron!

thanks silver for the kind words.. I just take stuff at face value on the forums...I do agree it is hard to know who is telling the truth so I always give the benefit of the doubt.. sometimes I have found people just want a pat on the back or some condolenses on there losses to help them feel better

Condolences appreciated...I was going for one big kill before making a withdrawal...

Now I'm going for a withdrawal stumbling and reeling after such a major hit.

Dante Point Well Taken

The world would be a better place if all had that attitude. I`m workin on it. I couldn`t even spell empathy for 40 yrs, let alone practice it.

It does tend to work that way for some reason. Can't really explain it but it seems to happen time and time again.

You can have 2 solid selections and choose to post the one you feel best about and then the posted selection will lose and the one not posted will win. The forum jinx. :drink:

Shame on you Kissee, it just is not right to torture someone who just lost a bundle. But you are who you are. You remind me of the $5. don't bettor that cheers when the table loses large to pay your $5. bet. You are the Weakest poster, Kissee.

And here is why I hate the way MLB managers play ONLY according to a defined set of rules...

After Phillips' homer ties it up, Mike Edwards triples. Derek Thompson, the pitcher, is due.

Derek Thompson is not pitching a good game. 70 pitches, 5 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs...not good. No reason to try to stretch this guy in the game. What's he gonna pitch.. a max of 1 or 2 more innings? And with the same degree of 'effectiveness' that he's pitched up to now, with a WHIP of almost 2?

If this is the 7th or 8th inning, Thompson is pinch hit for. Why is a run worth any less in the 4th than it is in the 7th, 8th or 9th? I could see if you had a Dontrelle Willis type pitcher out there...or the type of offense where you don't think that one-run will necessarily make a difference. But if you know you struggle to score, and your man just tripled to tie the game, why not go for the lead, instead of giving up the opportunity? Just to save a walk-prone, hit-prone, shaky pitcher?

I don't get it. But ever manager...EVERY manager would play it the same way.

And don't give me that 'if you took him out now, you'd tire out your bullpen by mid-season' crap...because every manager would play this situation the same way...whether it's day one of spring training or game 7 of the World Series.

because you dont sacrifice your next 3 games for the next 2 innings.
