E-mail should be an option late in the month and late in the year. Come on if you are ahead of a person going into the final day it makes it so easy to just copy that persons pick since I for one am not going to hang around until 7:04 to post a game. This contest was run so smoothly last year this is too many people are trying to change too many things.
I believe you, however I know that some people if going into the final day are going to by "coincidence" pick one or two of the same picks of someone who is just behind him thus making it near impossible for the other person to win unless they post the minute before the cut off date. It has happen in contest before and e-mailing your days takes care of that simple issue so it should always be an option late in the month or year.
To be honest, I cant think of one time in which I have checked to see who others have taken in previous posts. I happen to work a job that gets me home somewhere near 6 cst and to me there are too many variables too place picks the night before....lineup changes, injuries, weather are just some. I like to look at certain things the day of the game to see who I am going to bat with. I certainly dont think there will be a problem in this contest. There are too many solid players here. One thing to consider is the mods getting 30 plus emails possibly and some mixup, mods are not required to sit here all day and that option is not exactly feasable not to mention two mods are in the contest and wed have to ask another mod (likely Wilheim) to help with it....
As i recall last year the email option was available on the final month only, I don't recall any problems like this last year.
Basically what you guys allowed for last year, the last 3 days (I dont see anything more then 3 days being need) or so you accept e-mail picks at your e-mail address and SS, (Maybe Wil too) they dont have to e-mail you but there is that option. That way its all on the up and up and no one can copy someone pic to hold a lead and avoids that tricky issue down the road. And since its only the last 3 days it causes some extra work for you and SS I understand however I doubt everyone is going to e-mail there picks

I know many certainly don't look at posters' earlier picks & they probably feel it is definitely a non-issue.
(I do because I feed them into my file... so I'm at least aware of what picks have been made... I actually prefer to not feed the picks first because I didn't want myself to be affected by what I saw in the thread before I post my plays ANYWAY.)
So people can ignore what I thought about "posters making some required early picks in a given month", plus I understand we are not changing any rules, which is right thing to do, staying pat.
I see that some have said about how it's quite obvious that the leaders would be manipulating their approach the last few days of a month so maybe the email option is still suggested, dunno.
I just know one thing: I'm going to shut my mouth now.

To help you out limit it to the final two days and only people in the top 5 at the months end can e-mail there picks. I mean not all 30 people will need to e-mail there picks just the people who are within $500 dollars of the leaders. This would save a big shit strom if someone decided to copy the persons behind them picks. I mean its not dmmd boys of summer contest however I think this closes up nicely a big loophole someone could take advantage of.

not a bad idea Dmmd....last yr the email option was there and almost nobody used it.
I just feel like we're spinning our wheels though with all these questions about every last thing lately ...every last detail seems to be getting raked over....it really should not be that hard to post up to three picks a day and let the chips fall where they may.
