No doubts MJ is superior till now, and it will be hard to beat, though LJ has all it takes to surpass him...what I am concerned how long LJ will be able to maintain physical supremacy over oppnents...obviously he should slow down with the years. But how it has been mentioned if he is clever enough he would be able to adjust to K.malone style of game (of course without that perimeter shot), playing more in paint with years to come.
Bottom line is just enjoy the game - we have that opportunity to experience some of the finest players in years: Kobe,LJ,Paul,Duncan,D-Wayde, Durant?

Only time will tell on this one. However, Jordan did win 3 straight championships, then decided to play a completely different sport(which he was pretty good at considering he had dedicated the past 15 years of his life to another sport), then came back and in his next 3 full seasons, won 3 more championships. I know this wasn't a question of who the better athlete is, but it just shows you the amount of talent this man actually has/had. Jordan paved the way for athletes today, and that doesn't just include the way that the game is played and how pure scorers were formed either. He also showed these youngsters the way to be on the business end of things as well. You can argue that without Michael Jordan, you may not even have LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. He absolutely revolutionized the way the game is played today. LBJ doesn't wear 23 for no reason.
