Tonight i have some strange bets.
First of all i feel that Robredo will take over Canas. Lets face it, Canas is a normal player with ups and downs, he played excellent tennis versus Federer but i can see some disadvantages tonight. First of all Robredo is more patient on his play, in fact always play for opponents mistake, likes to run all over the court just like Canas did against Federer. Second i expect Canas to be more nervous tonight because if he lost against Fedex it wouldnt matter but now... Third of all i like the momentum here, last time Canas beat Fedex then lost to another Spanish Moya, now he faces again a Spanish. My feeling is that this goes to three sets so my bets are:
1. Robredo over Canas @ 2.6 (5/10 units)
2. Robredo wins 2-1 sets @ 5.6 (5/10 units)
3. Canas wins Robredo 2-1 sets (5/10 units)
That means i dont believe that Canas will win 2-0 sets. If this happens then i am f**ed. :hump:
Second bet the same way for the women. I believe Williams is the favourite here but i expect a game like Australian's Open this year (3-6,6-2,8-6 for Williams). Both players are in excellent form and i predict three sets.
1. Williams wins 2-1 sets @ 5 (5/10 units)
2. Peer wins 2-1 sets @ 9 (5/10 units)

Like said before Peer is not giving anything for free. I talked with my friend about the match and he said nobady will win Serena if she does not want to. I disagreeded a little bit with him but honestly I would not except anything else than Serena's win but I was told she was strugling for some time in the second set with Vaidisova and I think bookies know people will go for Serena and she is underpriced and I would not play her. My estimation is Serena will take this 7 times out of nine.

hno: The games are thight and it is usually small things what makes the winner. 2-0 is always more common result than 2-1. When the game is thight and for example we saw at Nadal's loss against Djokovic even if Nadal fought Djokovic had so much better day and when you are playing better than your opponent and you are not a choker it is very hard to take a set from you. I can look the percentages for you how semis have ended so far at this year last year and year before that but I will do that when I have some more time maby later today or tomorrow.
Btw: I have been told 2-0 is even more common result on clay when two equel or almost equal opponents are meeting.

Ok. I think it is partly emotional thing when you win the first set so it will be much easier to win the second and some players are playing worse when they are losing the game (of course there is exceptions like Nalbandian who is very strong when he is losing the game). Also I think it is partly (maby the most important thing) because it helps if you are able to start serving after you win the first set. The starter of the serve has a slight edge because if you are broken you will have one more game to meak a rebreak compared to your opponent who will have one game less or no possibility at all if his opponent is leading 6-5 or 5-4 when making the break.
