Hello everybody,

I really like this forum, it even made me open an account in a bookie to play NCAA basketball which is my second love.
I thought i would give it a try and post some picks in here too. I usually bet on tennis which i follow for over three years, soccer and basketball.
I am from Greece so i will use European odds for my betting (if you dont mind).

My first bet is on Russian Bychkova over the Czech Benesova @ 1.67 (the greek). The Russian has already beaten Benesova once, last October in Stuttgart (6-1,6-2), has already played 13 matches this year with 6 wins (one against No11 Schnyder) and seems a descent bet against the Czech that has only 5 matches this year (only 1 win).
Bet's Strength 7/10

Second bet is for American Osterloh against Italian 20 year old Oprandi @ 2 (BF). Osterloh plays in this tournament from 1998 (except 2003), while Oprandi plays for the first time and has only the third game ever in US (2 games in August at New York and New Heaven both lost in straight sets). The Italian is much better in clay courts thus i prefer the American.
Bet's Strength 5/10

Good Luck to all :howdy:

Both lost in three sets. Terrible loss for Bychkova who served for the match in 5-4 and was 5-4 in front in tie break to win and didnt make it.

12 March (0-2-0 -12 units)

Davydenko-Hernych

Davydenko managed to get through Querrey by staying alive in second set in tie break (2-6, 7-6(6), 6-2) but now facing in form Hernych who won easy yesterday odds favourite Calleri in straight sets and already won him at 12-03-2004 here in Pacific Life again in three sets. Hernych is playing well at the moment and worths a bet in my opinion.

a. Lay Davydenko @ 1.2 in betting exchanges or straight bet to Hernych @ 6.2 (betting 10 units to win 49)

b. Lay Davydenko 2-0 sets @ 1.56 betting 5.6 units to win 10

Gl tonight. :103631605

forgive me my friend, I dont understand your wager in the Davy match:

you say lay Davy and the low odds of 1.2, then say OR take Jan at 6.90

so you took Jan at full stakes of 10u for 49u but then you bet on Davy to win 2-0??

at 1.56 how do you get 5.6 to win 10??

I dont understand, not famaliar with Euro odds. Isn't 1.56 like -200? hence you'd risk 10 units to win 5, no?

gl nonetheless

Well i think its my mistake because this wager is on betting exchange (betfair) actually and obviously you dont use this kind of betting.
When i play lay at some odds like 1.56 there is a liability of 1.56X10u=5.6u to win the 10u that i play.
But since you dont use this method i will not use it again.

I am really sorry. :ughhh:

March 13 (0-4-0 -27.6units)

Bad start for me anyway last night's bet was not easy at all. Anyway once again i am gonna bet against Davydenko on tonights game against Murray. The 19 years old Murray crushed Mahut yesterday, has already won Davay this year in Doha in 2 sets, and has some great performances this year (like the one against Nadal in Melbourne). Murray played in US for almost a month after Australian Open and this is another (small) advantage. I like 1.75 for Murray.

Bet: Murray 1.75 (10/10 units)

March 21 (1-4-0, -20.1 units)

First Round in Miami tonight and i have some plays again.

Hernych over Mello @ 1.57 (10/10 units)
The Czech had some good plays at Indian Wells winning Henman and Calleri, while Mello is not that good in hard courts prefering clay most. There is an advantage in Mello as a qualifier (won over Zib and Delgado) but my choice is for Hernych probably in 3 sets.

T. Johansson over Martin 2-0 sets @ 1.57 (10/10 units)
Martin is really bad in hard like most Spanish prefering clay, on the other hand Johansson is better not in his best form though but almost every year advances to the fourth round. He has powerful serve and makes it to the opponents serve.

Shaugnessy over Larcherde Brito 2-0 sets @ 1.47 (10/10 units)
The young Brito (only 14 years old) plays for the first time in WTA was under 50th place last year in juniors ranking playing against professional US player ranking No 43. The only reason that young Brito plays here is because lives in Florida and she took for this reason the Wild Card. If the match plays in court there will be an easy win IMO.

Good Luck.. :toast:

I hardly believe in setting games up but some movements i saw in the betting exchange i use almost convinced me for the opposite.

You use Betfair? I was also betting on that match, managed to get green for both sides but I did not see any unusual line movements but I was not watching the odds at the end of the match. The final tiebreak was unexpectable. Shaugnessy managed to get 3 points but It was 0-5 or was it even 0-6?

well actually yes i use betfair. Anyway i was in more games the same time but it was probably the only match that the scoreboard didnt work right. For example in 3rd set Brito was in front serving and odds for Meg were at 1.85. When Meg had break point at 30-40 the odds went down to 1.56. Then livescore stuck to work again at 2-2 and 0-40 three break points to Brito and 1.9 for Meg. Then next time the score changed to 3-2 games for Meg and odds dropped to 1.31.
Did that seems normal to you? because i dont think the match was in any tv.

Betfair is every tennistraders wet dream. I think the scoreboard is not so good but it is much better than last week at Indian Wells. Maby some are so big bettors that they have somebody on court but if I think all the match the odds were not that grazy. It is just market overreacting and nobady knows what is going on. From 0-40 to 3-2, I think the game never was 0-40 at that point and want to believe that was just some sort human mistake, maby it was 40-0 and scoreboardkeeper made a mistake. I believe there sure are some fixed matches but there was not so much money in this one but who knows.

Anyway, better luck today :103631605

Anyway this is already past.....

For today many tough games on the program.
1. Seppi to beat Tipsarevic @ 2.12 (5/10)
Seppi has the advantage of playing two games to qualify here that means he is familiar with the court and i think he will win Tipsarevic who has won in 9 games on 2007 only 2 injured players (Hewitt, Srichaphan both in Indian Wells)

2. Nadal to beat Mello 2-0 set @ 1.24 (10/10)
I dont need this need expanations and unless Nadal doesnt care about this tournament he will win easy.

3. Del Potro to beat Baghdatis @ 2.9 (5/10)
Baghdatis is looking tired lately thats why he only played two matches last month (both lost to Nadal and Garcia Lopez). I like the odds on Del Potro, he is good player anyway.

4. Daniilidou to beat Vakulenko @ 1.59 (8/10)
Daniilidou has some good games in Miami, last year lost in fourth round from Petrova, winning both Hantuchova and Safina, and has played well this year against Li and Hantuchova.

5. Poutchkova to beat Stosur @ 2.6 (5.10)
Olga is having a fine year having lost only to Chakvetadze, Mauresmo, Clijsters and Peer but Stosur is not the big name that scares the young Russian and in this odds i will take the risk

Gl to all

Another bad day for me yesterday, except Del Potro but for many favourites too.
No time to explain today, right to the point then
1. Chela over Tipsarevic @ 1.4 (10/10)
2. Starace over Almagro @ 2.7 (5/10)
3. Moya over Santoro @ 1.5 (8/10)
4. Loit over Safarova @ 3.3 (4/10)

Good Luck!!
