Yeah but if he wasn't white, he probably doesn't get that benefit of the doubt. It's not about race so they shouldn't let him go I agree. Another point is these athletes are targets. These are strangers killing famous athletes....not the other way around. These athletes have no idea who these people are. But the shooters usually always know who they are shooting. White or black 54 or 24 my guess is he still knew who he was

These witness accounts from blacks are unreliable. It's just the way it is, and recent and past history supports it. Whether it's emotionally triggered revisionism or outright lying, it's the way it is.
So pretty much the whole' "he shot him while standing over him and he pulled him out of his car" narrative is trash.
I don't know what happened, and I would even concede there is a small chance Gasser had delusions that he was Horatio Caine from CSI:Miami
But the evidence we have right now (Police released him from custody, Mcknight has a history of defiance and violence, ballistic evidence doesn't support the stand over and shoot scenario, the guy remained peacefullly at the scene and surrendered his weapon) points to a guy in fear of violence from an enraged, intimidating athlete.
