Yes it is no accident, they were not surprised at how this developed. No way it was Biden's decision, alone. That is the usual misinformation narrative.

Privates in The Marines would know to first secure the area with our military, keep our bases open, secure and evacuate the civilian Americans and qualified Afghans, pull out all weapons and military equipment, then, finally, pull out but keep one base open to ensure future protection. We have thousands of troops in Japan, South Korea, Germany, why not keep one key base out of Afghanistan? The 2500 we had in the country was keeping things stable...
