This chain is growing fast, it's similar to Subway but with high quality meats and cheeses sliced right in front of you, costs a little more than Subway, but people will pay it easily.

A few years ago there was only one in CT, now about 12.

I don't think you can buy stock in the company, it's a franchise, much like a Subway.

Realistically I'd estimate 500 k to get one going.

I have the perfect place to put one, a good sized shopping plaza in well to do Old Saybrook, CT with a Walmart and a stop&shop, and no fast food in the place, some vacant storefronts also, it can't miss, biggest hurdle beyond startup capital is the rising minimum wage at $11 now and up a buck a year to $15, then cola after that.

It's hard to hire people and you need employees.

It's really good fast food
it's a privately held company , you CANNOT buy stock ( as of this time anyway ) in Jersey Mike's .

Solid info, Carl, so going high side, you're approaching a million to get it going, that's quite a bit more than I was thinking, a McDonald's must be like 5 million ?

Big fan of Jason's deli. Seems like it's more then just a sandwich shop, a little bigger, a little nice.

We had one open in my neighborhood about 6 years ago. They stayed open for a year then closed. I loved having it as an option, was sad that it closed. It seemed busy too, so not sure why they closed.

I don't often go to jersey mikes but i did today. The sub is for sure better then subway i guess but its nothing super special. I will say the main reason i don't go there often is because i had a regular Italian sub with chips and a drink and it was $14.85. Seems a bit pricy for a sub, chips and fountain drink imo.

Funny. I went to subway yesterday and had a foot long sub and a drink for $8

was it the best sub ever? Not at all. But for the price and convenience, I’ll take it

I went to JM today too and got the regular Italian (13) with chips and a drink and it was like $11...

Regular JM sub is about the same amount of food as a footlong from Subway. Well, less bread.

The Jason's Deli near me is fairly large but never crowded even around dinner time. Maybe its busy at lunchtime though. I think the way they make their money is from catering

As far as Jersey Mikes..I havent tried it yet
