I have friends who coach high school football, some coach at poor inner city schools.
My friends are coaching kids who have D-1 talent and being recruited by MAJOR D-1 schools. The last thing these stud recruits want to do is attend a black college. The ones who attend black colleges (most of them) are the kids who cant get into D-1 school whether its talent or grades.
And what about college recruits who wont be playing pro football once they graduate in 4 or 5 years? If you play for a football program, and known to be a good person who gets his college degree, there is a PRETTY GOOD chance that an alum who owns a business will give you a job interview and have a good chance to hire you. I have done 0% research on this but i'm pretty sure that there are more business owners who went to Michigan, Alabama, USC, Penn State, and Oklahoma over business owners who went to Florida A&M, Grambling, Alabama A&M, Southern, Prairie View University (no offense to any of these schools).
I guess Jemele Hill would rather you "do what she says and not what she do" as she attended Michigan State University (not a black college) and worked at ESPN.
She took care of herself but is advising others to do the opposite?
Didnt African American leaders fight and give up their lives so whites and blacks could be treated equal? What Hill is suggesting would set us back at least 50 years.
