Neither of these has anything to do with credibility. Unless they are mind readers or specifically heard something from someone inside the Dallas organization and can actually site the source, it's means nothing. Sports talk show hosts make all sorts of outrageous claims with the only goal being to increase the audience size so they can sell more ads. The more controversial, the better the rating. This isn't rocket science. Look down a few posts and you'll find a claim by Cowherd on Mahomes. I don't think for a second he believes it. But it doesn't matter. It simply gets people to debate it, keeps the show going for an hour or two, ratings stay high, and the cash register rings. It's a pretty simple formula. If you were to take all the claims these guys make and average it out, you'd have a fairly small percentage of correct claims. Not to mention, most of these shows come on when the vast majority of people are actually working. So, by deduction, a large percentage of people calling in are likely unemployed and probably at a lesser intellect level.
