Joe Theismann doesn't have a clue...Yes, YOU DO think about giving the ball to Lewis instead of kneeling down. The record is the only thing that matters to them in this game, has he forgotten so fast?

I know Hache, I am just frustrated right now cause that dam Maddox is costing his team a chance. Everybody is playing well , but him. All we need are FG's. , and we had 3 opp. to get them in the 2nd with good field position. I need a drink. Can I get you anything my friend , only got Heine's though. Maybe some chips or peanuts.

lol Co.....I know buddy....it's ridiculous....I would of felt so much better if we could of gotten at least 3 on one of those "drives"......Steelers need to put someone quicker in the backfield to at least be a threat in the flats......

Jamal Lewis is good but I heard that 8 of his runs against the Browns this year accounted for 375 of his yards! You take away those 8 runs and he is not even leading the league in rushing anymore is he?

He must be pretty good though....I mean the whole world knows that the Ravens have no pass offense yet they still can't stop him.

I guess you can only play the teams on your schedule but it must be nice to get to play the Browns twice a year!

Ive got a parlay on the Steelers +6 and Under 38....I need just a little help from Maddox and I'll be ok......But I'm sad to say (sorry Co-captain lol) that the only TD Maddox may be throwing tonight is to the other team returning one.....

Do you think any of the top 5 guys in the single season record list got there without a few BIG games?

Sure, take those games away and he isn't AS good. But take away 14 of the Patriot's win, and they are really just an 0-2 team. Nothing special about that, huh?

kman,

there was no way to know the browns run d would be that bad. hell, before the ravens ran all over them, their defense looked pretty good. remember the first week indi beat cleveland like 9-6

Joe is an idiot. The record is not the only thing that matters here. Preventing injuries is what matters. Push Jamal and his OLine so much for a record , and anything can happen. An injury or something. What is on the mind on Bellic is the next game and getting there in one piece, not the record. What is more important the SB or a individual record.

choices #1 Go for the record at all cost, and risk a possible injury occurring.

or

choice #2 Be smart and dont take unneccessary risk, which could possible lead to an injury.

Theisman is an idiot or he is under contract to market and promote an exciting situation so people will stay and watch whether Jamal gets the record. I wish that sport commentators would comment on covering the spread instead , now that would work to keep alot of people watching.

good point bromox.

i think oj had three games where he rushed for over 200 in his over 2000 season. im sure those teams had weak run defenses as well.

i wouldn`t worry guys.......anthony wright is still out there....and regardless of how the media has played this scrub up,the guy is a mediocre back-up....if that....those games in which wright put up gig yardage were laughable....a bunch of lucky jump ball passes and flukes....the guy is pedestrian...

the fact that lewis has 2,000 yards while playing without a passing game is an absolute miracle..put him in an offense with a passing game and it`s scary what the guy would do......he won` get the record....because pittsburgh and every other team has total disdain for the pass....

have no fear....pittsburgh will stop lewis because they have no fear of the passing game.....and at some point, the defense will allow a few big plays......the defense is under intense pressure every game because this offense is so terrible....

as long as maddox doesn`t turn it over, you guys should be o.k.....

You know, now that you bring that up, back in early 80's James Wilder of the Bucs in last game was trying to pass Dickerson on those 2000 yards (total yards), who had just finished playing last game of season. The Bucs and John McKay actually got fined after the game when the league claimed they were intentionally letting the Jets score so they could get the ball back in order to get Wilder touches.....Would be interesting to see if anything like that happens in this game....

the ravens defense has too much pride to do anything like that.

Billick will never hear the end of it if one of these top guys goes down with an injury & misses the playoffs for playing in a meaningless game. I know the record means a lot, but common sense comes into play here.....

Hey Captain......I know you don't want to hear it, but our Steelers are now in "danger" area at their own 10 with Maddox back there.....Lets hope he proves me/us wrong...
