YOU SHOULDN T EVEN BE GIVING OUT HOCKEY PICKS, YOU ADMIT YOU HAVE NEVER PRACTICED HOCKEY, THAT SAYS YOU DON`T HAVE YOUR CUSTOMERS BEST INTEREST THERE WHEN IT COMES TO HOCKEY.

I CAN`T BELIEVE YOU WOULD BLINDLY HANDICAP HOCKEY AND SELL IT AS "PRO" THAT HAS NO GOOD LOGIC BEHIND IT JAKE.

Is too green and two thin skinned to be a tout. I would'nt give any tout a penny let alone a 20+ yr old college kid. The people that actually pay him money are sick and should not be gambling. Touting is marketing and deception only, make people forget about the losers and only remember the winners. Let the threads with losing picks vanish while bumping up the winners. phrases like "sure I went 0-5 lastnight but I was 12-10 last week. Jake is too much of a pussy cry baby to be a tout

Jealousy is a fickle beast, ain't it kids? Fact of the matter is, I'm only down in hockey for the year. Deal with it. You don't handle me being very good very well. You want me to fail, and it isn't happening. Sorry fellas. Deal with the fact I know my shit and am only 19.

 

Journeyman, I sell all my picks in one package. You pay for my picks, you get NBA, NHL, NCAA, etc... I would never sell hockey picks by themselves. The only way to get better at something is to learn about it and keep trying. I'm down, but I won't be for long. I got a similar response during MLB when I started out going down some 8 units before ending up +37 on the year. I'm used to the thoughtless critisms. I told my clients and the people of this board that hockey was the sport I was least informed about, but also that I studied my ass off and have talked to some people that know NHL very well. I even made an effort in the NHL forum for experienced bettors to send me anything helpful, in which quite a few did. Even though this is my first year in the NHL, I most definately did not come in blind, and never once lied about my experience with hockey.

 

Who does Kukoc play for? I am not jealous of Wayne Root, Doc, Jim feist, or any other of the very successful touts, why would I be jelous of a wanna be part time dipshit like you?

 

its not about jealousy at all...come on ...Well I know you must have gotten most of your customers from the Rx and the likes , so lets see how many people back up what you`re saying...Where are your loyal customers....You use to have people kissing your ass in baseball when it was free!

I`m not saying your a bad guy for turning tout, just should have NEVER gave out picks you know nothing about, thats common sense , why wouldn t you get a feel for it first?

You point out when you win and don`t mention when you lose....That is the first sign of deception...

You will be respected much more by taking the losses with the wins all the same...

If someone is paying you they want honesty, not somebody only talking about when they win, or crying about a tough loss...

The reason I liked your threads was you were honest , I don`t see that so much since you crossed over...People will see thru this...

Stop acting like you can`t lose the best of players have losing seasons ...You have to come across more realistically....

You tell me Dicky. You seem obsessed with me. You love to post in my threads and you constantly mention me. You have some weird crush on me, and to be quite honest, it spooks me a little.

 

And Journey, I did get a feel of it first. I learned about teams, goalies, tendencies, trends, bad betting situations, good betting situations, and so much more. I took a few days off into the season to see how my picks would have went, and was pleased with the results.

How exactly do I act like a tout? I'm not getting defensive either by the way. Just defending myself from what I see as thoughtless comments, not necessarily by yourself either. I make a note of it when I win, true. Does just about every other poster here do that? Yes. Do they get shit about it? No. Did I do it all baseball season without anyone having problems? Yes.

Show me don't tell me? That is what I was doing to the best of my knowledge. Posting every day, proving I know my shit. If what you guys want is for me to update my record each night, I can do that, win or lose. It won't stop certain people from finding a reason to dislike me. I don't mind constructive critism or even honest comments, but with all the people making stuff up about me just because I am selling picks, you can see how I'd get a little agitated.

Good luck this year Journey, just keep in mind that things may not be what they first appear.

One thing you don't have is experience, and that goes a long way when handicapping. Being 19, you haven't seen enough history of the sports you cap to only put in 1-2 hours a day and think you are going to be successful in the long run. I hope you fall on your face and lose everything you have because it's how you bounce back from that situation that either turns you into a handicapper or puts you further into the poor house. And yes, you will go through a streak like that. Probably many of them because you're trying to cap too many sports. (Releasing NHL selections without putting years of research into it first is irresponsible, but you're young and you will make mistakes and hopefully learn from them).

Jake I think an honest update each night would be a good thing for you, I always thought of you as a realistic guy, back in baseball you seemed to always update...

Just take the criticism constructively, I don t wish you bad luck, if you can make it great!

Just stay true ....thats all, actually I haven t been following you , it just seems people have soured on you alot! Somewhat expeted I guess. Next baseball season will be a true measure in my mind, I will be taking note.

But me even commenting here is just my advice,from the perspective say of someone who could pay for your service someday...I won t but somebody who reads your comments like me just might..take my advice and think about it , thats all!

Big Lou, thanks for the ummm... encouragement. I more or less experienced that in baseball. After going up some 15 units I went into negative in under a week. I know it's only a small example of what you are talking about, but I never changed the way I capped and it eventually worked out to my favor. I agree that NHL is not my best sport, and maybe I shouldn't be releasing picks, but I honestly feel I can win at it. I may take your advice and drop it eventually, but it's hard when I feel I have a good grasp on it now. We'll see. Either way, good luck, and I appreciate the constructive criticism from someone in the industry.

 

Journeyman, I can update most nights. Friday and Saturday may be, umm, a bit of a problem for updates, but I'll do it on other nights. I think that's fair. Good luck this year, and I'll do my best to stay true.
