A friendly response from you in the Royal thread?? Pat you are losing buddy. I even mentioned at the time that all you were doing was attacking me and ignoring the question which was should a book in trouble be pulled off the Rx list? You said "You're right I won't be adding to it." Read it for yourself below. Now I'm saying YOU will do anything to avoid the tough questions. In this thread in the last few you dont reply you just go after the poster..a la Butternuts

You're right I won't be adding to it. You speak out of both sides of your mouth depending on who is listening. When someone has a burning agenda I will not even entertain them, someone else can play the game with you. If I was to play the same game I would ask you this though. On your site you say on the first page, SPORTSBOOK REVIEW DOES NOT ACCEPT SPORTSBOOK ADVERTISING!! Is this true or not? Couldn't get an answer from you nor could Peep the other day. Here's what he posted at MW for you in case you missed it.

SBR has changed radically since he started collecting money from books on his site.

As far as I know, he now makes money there by

1. Charging for URL links.
2. Referal fees for click throughs.
3. Putting players that signup through his site on a sheet.

Have I missed any ways you are funded by sportsbooks buddy?

The hypocrisy of your statement on your homepage "Sportsbook Review does not accept sportsbook advertising" stinks. Makes you a liar if ANY of the top three ways of making money are true.

Would you agree SBR?

I just bring this up because I am sure you missed it and want to correct it if you are wrong. You want to appear holier than thou but you are being paid by the same sportbooks the rest of us are. Difference is we admit it. That's why we are trying to appease you now on Royal. Also I hear from good sources if a loyal reader of yours clicks through to a book on your site (which you get paid for) you also get a % of what they lose? Wow, you are certainly a stand up guy. You see the problem is don't knock others for eating the mashed potatoes when the gravy is running down the side of your face sir.

Now you tell me Pat what your response above has to do with the post "should Royal be pulled"

Show me where your opinion is in the Homebets thread.

Show me your opinion in this thread? You don't need to wait for Jake..For God's sake Seymour is a longtime poster!

Buzz - Tell me what you need and I will do it. I am really trying to help you now. Is there something the RX can say that would make you feel better? What's the purpose of you digging this thread up? This is from July 9th and supports that I was all over you about Royal? This is October now and you can't get over this? I was on you about the same thing they are on you about now, misleading people on your site. In the meanwhile you have posted that I was attacking you on your position about Royal, here's the post from the thread you just provided. Show me where I attacked you on Royal? I was still for having them up but as time went on and more was known my position changed, either way we seem fine if you ask me. Please pay particular notice to how the exchange ends. Seems all is well but you are still bitter, I had been here one month when this happened and you are still upset!!!?

<<<Not sure what I would do in this case Buzz if it was my call but would probably leave them up. I don't have any off shore contacts to speak of, only know what I read. I admit I am happy Ken has printed a warning to be careful in this situation. I think with most following the developments there is plenty of information for people to make an informed decision. Being here a month I think Shrink, Major and the others are making the right call. From what I have seen most books that are going under will simply disappear. There is no steps being played out like this, guys are loading up their airport money and hauling ass. These people seem to be trying to do what is the right thing. I believe even you said these people have plenty of money. So given that and the fact Spiro obviously recognizes there is lots of value in Royal I don't see anything wrong with leaving them up with a general warning being issued. We don't have crystal balls and can't pull advertisers over any sort of development. Having said that if I have any say in the matter the first no pay or slow pay situation we hear about they will be down. I don't think this is unreasonable at all.

Thank you Pat, I appreciate your opinion.

And yes, I'm on the record as saying I think that Royal will make it and that there will be no no-pays.

I told Shrink that this is a good and legitimate debate we should pick up after the Royal situation. I mean certainly there has to be some better trigger than the 1st slow pay or else we learned nothing from the NAB's.

>>>I think you're right. I agree it can be too late when the slow pays start. Very tough to make the right call before that though. You hear so much that if you react every time we hear something we wouldn't be here today. Yet if you miss one that does go down it is even worse IMO. I would love to hear some constructive debate on proper ways to handle situations like this. Glad Royal still has your confidence. Thanks for bringing this topic up.

BTW hope there are no hard feelings. I respect your efforts and you being around makes everyone do their jobs better. And though I disagree with you I can also see why you feel the way you do. One day if you ever asked Ken if we argued and he said "everyday" maybe you will understand more. Maybe not. Either way I will never sit quietly and let anyone do the wrong thing without me speaking up. I unknowingly screwed some people on the NAB thing long before I worked here and haven't forgiven myself yet....

Man that is just horrible of me!! Buzz if you need help let me know. If you get off more on the "Pat and the mods are asskissers here" to make you appear as one who calls out people then by all means continue on. You have been very upset and let me know that you wished Shrink and I would fight and call each other names out here in the forums for you. I thought you accepted that since we worked together I thought it looked unprofessional and was nothing I would be doing no matter how much you badgered me, LOL. Frankly we still disagree on things at times but we do it in a constructive manner. You said you understoood that once, I am just now seeing how bad it bothers you that we work together when we can instead of against each other. Take some consolation in the asskisser comments if it helps you feel better Buzz. I wish I knew what to say to help you......

I'm no Shrink but my gess would be that since you are getting brtualized a lot over the "I don't take ad money at my site" crap that it would help your self-esteem if others got their teeth kicked in as well. Could that be it? That would makes sense. For the last time you seems like a fine young man but that exchange in the Royal thread sounded like two sides working together to me? How can you be bitter about this? Good luck, your a great guy and gosh darn it people like you Buzz.

How about a couple of picks for today after all this anger was unleashed?

Pat 7:19AM:"You brought up Royal over and over about how you got hammered by me for your opinion, I looked and looked and looked and there is nothing I can find to support that. Will you find this for me?"

Pat 8:25AM: "What's the purpose of you digging this thread up?"

Nice Pat, you ask me to find this for you and when I do you ask why I bring it up now.???

Pat, no I don't wish you and Shrink would fight. I do think you should voice your opinion instead of attacking posters. And maybe, just maybe your opinion would be contrary to the Rx.

Like this thread, maybe (dont want to put words in your mouth) but maybe you think it's total bull to have a line at 16.5 and then have the linesman bump it to 17? Maybe? Pat? You use to have an opinion about stuff like this.....

Other than the you don't take ad dollars stuff (
icon_wink.gif
) no one I know of has a beef with you Buzz. I have absolutely no idea why that is life and death to you but trying to defend that must take a lot out of a man. Overall you are a benefit to the industry and most would agree I suspect. If we owe you a dinner or something let us know sir.

I want to hear from Jake and Sportbet before I comment too much but yes I believe at this point the player has a legitimit gripe.

BTW so you know I'm not whistling Dixie here's the thread that I was shown about your site not taking ad dollars. Not being wise but I have to say I think they are right on the money about it Buzz. Big deal if you are involved making a buck here or there like everyone else. You do fine work and definitely a plus for the industry, it's okay if you line your pocket once in a while.

Good luck on your plays today.

No, I was not in a meeting. Surprisingly, as this stuff always seems to come up when I am not around, yesterday was my dayoff.

Seymour, if it went down the way you describe, you are correct. That is piss poor service. Not sure if there is more to this story, but if not and you still want the 500 at 16.5, you got a bet. When I get in the office, as I am at home right now, I will get to the bottom of it. Call me later, if you chose. 866-WAGER-SB ext. 2007

Pat,
And its not personal. As long as you keep bringing everything into these threads instead of addressing the post then this will go on.

I love those SBR threads. I love the post that goes "money I've had stolen at Rx&MW books =$15,754 money I've had stolen by SBR Recommended Books = $0"

Yea good luck today too. I'm finding few pickings today. Seymour will have fun laughing at me but I like Iowa St +17.5 ..btw, Sportbet STILL has 16.5 hahaha (i'm serious)

Jake I appreciate the offer but I already played it at Hollywood and I have never complained about one book in my life and the story is what it is. I just don't wany it to happen again because it just ain't right and there are too many good outs that this would never have happened.

It is business as usual. I know this is typical of Jake's books, i.e., Sportbet, and Gold Medal. Their linesman Chester micromanages too the extreme. He thinks most every one is out to beat or cheat him. What a jerk!

Yes it is typical of Jake to make things right when they are wrong.

Jake is the GM of the biz as far as I am concerned. Kudos to him.
