Ivy League to Cancel Winter Sports

Yale played the first-ever intercollegiate hockey game -- Feb. 1, 1896 -- and is the only school to play contiguously every year since.

Well Willie if they dont play Hockey then I lose a paycheck. People are greatly affected by these decisions. If Hockey East and ECAC follow the same route then its detrimental to a lot of people including the students. Cornell will not be playing who is the #1 team in the Country. Harvard is Top 5 and Yale is top 10. You know how many drafted players play for these teams that are now screwed? This is a HUGE Hockey conference. I was told yesterday that I will not be allowed in any Hockey East arena to start the season as a Scout/Media and they will look at it again after Jan 1st. That is just craziness.

I totally get that. I'm not callous or indifferent to the loss of income suffered by so many. I'm 1000% opposed to and and all lock downs for that very reason. I hate seeing the devastation done to small business owners and lives. I'm merely pointing out why the Ivy League is different

Beanpot hasnt officially been cancelled yet but According to Hockey East Commish Metcalf it is highly unlikely. With the Hockey East Schedule they will be playing every weekend which will not allocate time. That was before Harvard just cancelled the season yesterday which now makes it impossible to have it.

Beanpot is officially cancelled. University Of Vermont Just delayed Season until Mid December throwing a huge Monkey Wrench into Hockey East.
