See ya Tiger; hope you saved your cash. Do all the commercials you can while your name is still worth something.

Listen up folks, he will never be the same but only maybe a handful of golfers will ever reach the plateau that Tiger did.....his game is still a work in progress....guess I am the only one here that saw some bright spots on the back nine......he will win again this year....

You aren't alone. I see progress in his game. The problem is he still can't chip and he still can't putt.

Tiger may eventually get his groove back, but the problem I see is the same problem that he's had in the past. He's only been healthy and injury free for 2 of the past 6 years...

I think that's part of it, but the wealth of talent on tour has also grown exponentially since Tiger made his run. It's tough to win out there.

Bright spots?....It`s about his overall performance....He was horrible on Thursday......4 Bogey`s and 1 Double Bogey.

He sits in 130th place out of 132 golfers.....He`s going to miss the cut obviously.

Today.....1 Bogey.....1 Double Bogey.....1 Triple Bogey.

Show me 1 Bright spot???

I think part of his lack of success has been because of his swing coach for the last 4 years. Tiger has his length off the tee back with this new coach. It remains to be seen what he does with the rest of Tiger's game. But the numbers don't lie for the last 4 years. Foley simply wasn't a good fit for Tiger.

Here is a by-the-numbers look at Woods’ swing coaches over his pro career:
BUTCH HARMON (1996-2003)
Major wins: 8 majors won in 24 starts
Majors missed: 0
PGA Tour wins: 34 titles in 127 official starts from turning pro through 2002 (26.8 percent win percentage)

HANK HANEY (2004-2010)
Major wins: 6 majors won in 23 starts
Majors missed: 2 (2008 British Open, 2008 PGA)
PGA Tour wins: 31 titles in 93 starts (33.3 percent)

SEAN FOLEY (2010-2014)
Major wins: 0 in 13 starts, dating to 2010 PGA
Majors missed: 4 (2011 U.S. Open, 2011 British Open, 2014 Masters, 2014 U.S. Open)
PGA Tour wins: 8 titles in 55 starts (14.5 percent)

TV still likes to promote him..... but, HE'S DONE.

And for you boys who don't know...... This horseshit about the tour being so tough now....... you see any Tom Watson, Gary Player, or Lee Trevino type competitors out there. HELL NO. Those guys knew how to win. More times than not Jack would beat them anyway. Now you can become a multi-millionaire and never win anything!

Jack is the Greatest of All Time. Pure and simple. Case closed!

What exactly is a Tom Watson, Gary Player or Lee Trevino type competitor? And what does it matter if you can become a millionaire without winning? Does that automatically make the quality of golf worse? I realize the nostalgia of "the way golf was during the glory years of jack, arnie, and gary" weighs heavily on a lot of older golf fans, but the guys on tour today are unbelievably good.

Good but not great..... and to answer your first question...... Being spoiled with all the huge money (without needing to win anything) creates the environment we have today. Lots of rich golfers and so few really separating themselves from the crowd. The "old timers" I mentioned..... they wanted to be champions.... not just wealthy. Jack would walk over these shits today like they were children. Tiger used to just show up.... everyone else shit their pants.... and he would win. No one is intimidated by him anymore. It looks the other way around. Again.... he is done!

They might have to put Tiger on the program they had Palmer on. The TV people will show every shot they can..... but not even show a graphic on his score.... or announce it. They did not do this with Arnie until he was 70 or 75 years old or something like that. They may have to go to that soon on Tiger. He is really in the tank!

That's the nostalgia I am talking about. Is that possible? Sure but it's fair from guaranteed. You act like this new generation doesn't grind as hard because of the money and that's simply not true. These guys grind their asses off.
