What is the first day we can sign up? I thought it was July 1[SUP]st[/SUP] but heard it might be pushed back due to renovations in the sportsbook.

I feel like you would do way better offering an option of payment upfront or a commission based structure where you get equity.

Some people might not wanna pay $300 but they wouldn't mind paying you 1-2k if they cashed big. Parting with 1-2k out of 10k can be a lot easier than parting with 300 out of 0 winnings.

Why would he do that when his competition is charging $300 plus commission.

Why do at least 2 people in here say to have no fee but potential % of winnings is better?

This is to risk an entire seasons running about for nothing, seems hugely -EV to me.

Imagine 17 weeks of enormous responsibility & work and zero gain if zero of your proxies cash

Can you imagine a bigger nightmare? Enormous Risk, seems to me. Whats the "math" on it?

"Statistical Probabilies" or whatever, for most + EV approach? Just was hoping any of you who say $0 fee 10% take

was better said that based on math/probabilities...such as that. Curious cuz stuff like this interests me, most +EV paths.

based upon probable outcome vs.risk, price. Such as that.

I know some of you like to crunch numbers, fuck with math, some of you have the mind for it, math minds. Many gamblers and especially Poker players do of course.

Breakdown on this would be interesting I am sure. How the hell can Risk with 10% take but no fee (very possibly zero $$$ gain for 17 weeks of a thing that is not easy + the huge responsibility) be better than guaranteed $300 + No fee which is prolly the best deal in town cuz fee is, I think, "Standard" on top of $300.

I am shocked NFLT doesn't charge commission on top of fee. Thats a great deal. 5% fee would have pleasantly surprised me but like mentioned....maybe the potential Tax challenges would be Large, Burdensome.

It is usually around the beginning of July, but I will announce the official date when they put it out.

I like just the flat fee, cause I get paid for 17 weeks worth of work.

And why should I punish someone who won by throwing a commission on top of it, yet the people who didn't win get no extra fee's attached.

Very well said. You should put that verbatim on your website. Could do it in Frequently Asked Questions page:

Question: "Why do other Vegas Proxies charge a % of winnings on top of FEE and you don't?"

Answer: what you said above.

Just posted the pics of the Jersey and Hat you could win for following the Proxy Twitter this year. Jersey will be customized with any name you like on the front and back, along with any number you would like. @ProxyVegas

Going to make this a super fun LVH Contest this year!!

And you don't even have to use me as a Proxy to win!!!

I'm all game for the set fee up front with no % on a cash. It's fair for all. And you can guarantee if I cash, you will get a nice tip, anyways.

That's awesome Matty, and I would appreciate a tip, but I don't want people to feel its mandatory. Im just as happy seeing someone I proxy for cash and not giving me a tip, as I would someone who did.

Imagine how stoked I would be personally, that because of the responsibility put on me, to put in their plays the whole season, and they placed 1st! That would be the greatest feeling a Proxy could have. And if they threw a couple of bucks my way, it goes directly into my daughters savings, like all the other money I would be making from being a Proxy this year. Its all for her!

It is a huge responsibility. I applaud you for taking this on and in the very Pro Manner that you have with the website & the twitter and all else.

You will be kept very busy this season.

I've already told people that might have gone with another proxy if they enter.

On a humorous point:

How does this pursuit square with your wife's concern about the amount of time you spend in Westgate Sports Book lmfao?

You're doing this to run an end around on her huh?

Brilliant, if so.

I gotta say.....effin Brilliant.

You've maneuvered a way to get $$$ for hanging out in Westgate Book lol. Adding to the family coffers. Shes painted into a CORNER. cheersgif Check fuggin mate /discussion.

Just because there is likely zero gain, doesn't change the Expected Value. In this contest, where over 100% is paid back, each entry is worth almost exactly $1500. If someone was able to take a 20% commission on every entry, they could earn just over $300 for every entry submitted. If they instead take 20% on fewer entries, it is stupid to say the EV per entry is somehow different

(that assumes luck matters more than skill, perhaps the reason charging a commission on winners is because people who use proxies generally have less skill at picking games than people who don't; the real reason, however, is that people can always stiff their proxy and not pay the $30,000 or whatever at the end of the season)

I do believe that some luck does play a part in the contest

Maybe find a new team of guys that have the time and put the effort in to take it more seriously? Doing the work and putting in effort really pays off for the NFL.

Sorry it's been hard, but maybe try a different system to get everyone's plays in faster

Like Matty said, I would tip a proxy that had nothing expected but I do feel much better if they have an actual stake in it. it is a big responsibility and I like them feeling as invested as I do
