I don't understand this "hired gun" concept. Who is it that you think hired Joe C and why? If he was "hired" why hasn't he returned since I understand (from what others post) his ban has been lifted?
As for Mr MJ, anyone who thinks he's "hired" or a reincarnation of Joe C is coo coo. The guy is an exceptional handicapper, one of the best on this board. If you paid attention to his posts on the sports boards you would know that. From what I understand Joe C didn't know the difference between a basketball and a football.
But Joe C was an intelligent poster here. Whether or not you agreed with his political and philosophical perspectives you must admit that. He could construct a sentence, a paragraph, and could spell. More importantly, he could carry a thought to it's conclusion. These are certainly attributes of a good debater.

I actually don't listen to Rush much anymore, I believe he's lost a lot of the objectivity he had in his early years.
Having said that, Rush has accumulated 10's of millions of dollars. Doc sits in mama's basement, waiting for mama to bring meals to him while he trolls the Rx. The two cannot be mentioned in the same breath.
Doc is not paid, or if he is, he's getting over big time on those who cut his check.
Because he's too manic and his presentation too sophmoric and absurd to give much credence to at all.

For those wondering, the reason why someone might be paid to post is that every post, especially Topic lines, triggers Search Engine responses.
Wanna defame Barack Hussein Obama? Start massive internet forum threads with that name and it will increase the number of hits for those three words - notably the middle name of course.
As for why "Joe" (aka Mark L) stopped, he was banned.
And the reason he hasn't returned in the same guise is that he was clearly a manic-depressive paranoid. And once we (I was active at it) started banging his first name and last initial publicly, along with the fact he lived in Texas, he truly became worried someone might figure out where he was.
Why that would be a problem, only his paranoid mind could explain.
Nothing Doc or anyone else at this forum does within this Forum will either contribute to or take away from Obama's chances to win the White House.
Only 3Peet and myself are actually contributing time to Obama's RealWorld campaign, so I suppose we make our own modest contribution within our local communities.

I have to say I never agreed with your mentioning his real name on here. Just because you put yours out there doesn't mean it's right to put someone else's without his permission IMO. There are plenty of legitimate reasons one might want to stay anonymous and I think it's in line with your ideas on civil rights. Don't ask me why I'm only mentioning it now, though. I'm not really sure myself, just the current mood in here I guess.
I think after you did this joe's stuff went straight downhill, it really got to him and he was running on fumes. I pretty much would just skip his threads at the end, like many of you can do with doc. As much as people complain there were 3 threads started about him today.
I just figure why cry about it, he will get banned again if he gets out of line....let the mods deal with it.
I suspect though since his return traffic is up, and it probably dropped when joe left.

It was DPHoles following the email threats he received.
I merely picked up on that and I think we can all agree that knowing someone is "Mark L" doesn't really get you much closer to any kind of true identity revelation.
