Jason Bergmann, RHP (1-8, 4.33)
Nationals (42-71) @ Jeff Francis, LHP (3-7, 5.67)
Rockies (52-63)

Scouting Report:
Nationals: Bergmann will start the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday after rain postponed Wednesday's matchup in Colorado. Bergmann was inconsistent in his last start. He allowed five runs on a bases-clearing three-run double and a two-run homer in ths second, but just one run in his other five innings in a 10-6 win over the Reds. He struck out two and walked three.
Rockies: Francis last pitched in the Major Leagues on June 28, when he gave up five runs -- four earned -- and 11 hits in six innings of a 7-6 loss in Detroit. After resting and regaining his health, a three-start Minor League rehab assignment allowed him to regain fastball command and hone his breaking pitch and changeup. The Rockies need him to help transform them into a contender.

Thursday, August 7 Coors Field | Game 2

Odalis Perez, LHP (4-8, 4.16)
Nationals (42-71) @ Ubaldo Jimenez, RHP (8-9, 3.61)
Rockies (52-63)

Scouting Report:
Nationals: Perez posted one of his best outings of 2008 on Friday, when he went 7 1/3 innings and allowed just one run and three hits while striking out five. He threw 63 of his 102 pitches for strikes and got a standing ovation when he left the field in the eighth inning.

Rockies: Francis last pitched in the Majors on June 28, when he gave up five runs, four earned, and 11 hit sin six innings of a 7-6 loss at Detroit. Then he went on the disabled list with shoulder inflammation. After resting and regaining health, three-start Minor League rehab assignment allowed him to regain fastball command and hone his breaking pitch and changeup. The Rockies need him to help transform them into a contender.

I dont think SA ever called you an Idiot....in fact he has been respectful

His whole thing for starting the thread was this...

1.You were being asked your opinion on games that you had not even posted - That is sign number one

2. Then this guy Nikeair shows up a guy he calls a mush and he say that he has seen this mush show up in the past and when he does posters start to fade.

3. You have been winning at an incredible clip - and should be congratulated for that. Do you really think you can keep winning at a 75-80% clip?

4. Typically what happens is all the people who come late to the party see the awesome record jump into the pool and get burned, especially when you are laying juicy road favs (dodgers) or -200 home favs (rox), becasue the people are asking for more!

No bad luck you hope you can keep it going but you would be the first one in history to do so.

just another thing you are completely uniformed about leading to a terrible statement.

First I would like to give you congrats on being able to look up last games stat's. Second, when I make plays I do my homework. Like I said I would much rather back a pitcher with a 4.14ERA on the road in Bergmann, than Perez who struggles away from home with a terrible 5.96ERA. Big part of capping is researching there home/away splits as its evident most pitchers do have huge differences. I found that the most important element of my statement that I would much rather back Bergmann.
Moving on Bergmann has given up 2ER of less in 7 of his last 10 games, going at least 6 inning in 7 of those 10. On the other hand Perez has given up more than 2ER in 4 of those games, but only last 6 innings in 4 of those 10 games.
Both pitchers have a 2:1 k:bb ratio in those 10 so thats a wash. Another important factor is Colorado is a right handed batting heavy squad. Their big bats Holliday, Atkins, Tulo, Taveras, Baker, Barmes, Yorvit, etc. are all right handed which plays much better for Bergmann who holds righties to a .220 avg. Perez on the other hand gets shelld by righties at a rate higher than .300.

Will Washington win? Who knows. But I stand by my statement that I would rather back Bergmann than Perez in this spot, and those are the reasons why.

You have a lot to learn and you will start to crash and burn today

that's right you back up your uninformed statement with what happened in their last outing. You have nothing to back yourself up other than the laughing dog:nohead:. its clear to anyone that has half an idea what their doing that you don't know shit about shit. Anyone can get hot playing primarily decent sized favorites and accumulate a decent record. Will your record reflect such after 600 plays? No it won't. I predict you won't even be posting on this site 2 weeks from now.:cripwalk:

this is going to be extremely profitable just as long as you can get him to continue to post plays IMO
