The President, the Commander-in-Chief, has made the Rules of Engagement (ROE) so difficult, that our troops are often killed before they can even get permission to fight..
Interestingly enough, when George W. Bush was president, you heard about the military deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan almost daily. With Obama in the White House, the mainstream media has been strangely quiet.
More than 1,000 American soldiers have lost their lives in Afghanistan in the last 27 months. This is more than the combined total of the nine (9) years before. Thirty have died in August. During the last month, over 50 additional NATO and US servicemen have been murdered, inside jobs by those who are hired to be a force for good in Afghanistan.
I don't doubt we are the best and most experienced military in the world. I just disagree that these last two wars didn't weaken us. I believe it did our commander in chief thinks so and I'm sure some military experts feel the same way. I respect your service and your opinion on it though.... Just disagree with it

My good friend was a logistics squad captain for much of the wars, he did 3 tours and would do again but to say he wasn't taxed would be an understatement. He missed the birth of his second child and his family lived with the uncertainty of when he would get the call. Is he weaker?, No but it was taxing on him mentally, now he is a Major I think and has a nice job and office in Minneapolis. Now are some people weaker, I would think so, these wars have not killed many in retrospect but the severity and long term effects the injured soldiers have and are enduring are many, the opponent uses a lot of weapons that do a lot more maiming which has been different and the PTSD has been off the charts.

To me people who do not like Obama have not just a dislike, it's a pure hatred. It' so unnatural. When the United States invaded Afghanistan in 2001, the Army stood at 480,000 soldiers. Over the next decade, it ballooned to 565,000 soldiers in 2011 and has since shrunk back to 528,000
