If you dont mind my asking Valdosta, what were your limits at -120, and -140 before the lines changed at 5Dimes?

Also, do you know what the opening line was on this one at Olympic?

By the way, I thought I was the first to jump on this one.

I was watching for it all week

My limit was 250, which is why I had to bet in 3 times at progressively worse numbers

Olympic opened at -240. I talk to Joey a good bit. He knew better than to lay a -120, -140 etc...

Valdosta,

Thanks for the replies. It's good to see Joey back. Things were dead for a while, but now things are back to normal. There are many lines to choose from.

Are you telling me they opened Ishe Smith at 5dimes for -120... (for him to win) not the over/under. -120... are you f--ck serious?

I believe him. Apparently, Valdosta is pretty good at it because I recall in a previous post for a different fight where he mentioned that he was able to get in on a line at a much better price.

Yeah, dead serious. They had a low limit on it though. I could only bet enough on it to win $250, so I took -120, -140 and -175 also.

It means I was at work where I don't have access to email. Do I wait and bet it hours later after I get home?? No, that wouldn't make sense considering the line would have changed by then. Nothing to get pissed off about, there's nothing I can do about that. I'll return the favor sooner than later.

BTW-Smith is not a lock anyways. If his chin isn't that good, he could get ko'ed.

That was the Freitas fight but I wasn't able to bet it because it was at centrebet.Centerbet started it at -300. It's in the Freitas-Grigorian thread.

Maybe, but something has been telling me that you got in early on an ESPN2 bout featuring Epifanio Mendoza that was cancelled. His bout was cancelled because he sustained an injury while warming up in the dressing room. Didn't you put something on that fight early?

Hey Valdosta,

i wasn't serious at all, bud. I guess it is hard to tell with a post. i tried hard to talk gangster as a joke. guess it didn't come across the way i wanted it too, just joking around. lol.

by the way, bud... wsex still has Ishe Smith only at -330 and olympic has him at -400. -330 is the best odds left at WSEX.

You just have to love boxing. I feel that we are in control to some extent because we are the ones that really set the lines. With no other sport will the line go from from nearly even money to nearly 4 to 1.

Now hopefully everything will go as planned tonight.

Let's go Ishe!

i don't see Baily winning at all. He sucks. He can only get lucky. I bet all my money already on the box office, but if I could, I'd go all out on Ishe!!!

Yeah, I had Mendoza at +240. They were lucky Mendoza hurt himself, he would have smashed Bradley.

Hey, IAN GARDNER is -200 at WSEX. That's pretty good compared to everyone else, right?

Well, based on the history of both fighters, Gardner should not have been that much of a favorite anyway.

I think the line should have bee somewhere around: Gardner -155 Cruz +135.

In other words, Gardner should only be considered a slight favorite.

gardner`s no lock....cruz is unorthodox and can be outboxed..a stiif jab will give cruz big problems....mark him up......but+250?......that line was off....

smith looked to easy..at the original odds..bailey is a one dimensional fighter....a smaller fighter.....the rub is that smith has "0" wins over warm body`s.....anybody that saw his last fight realizes that the "undefeated" guy he fought(estrada)was a joke....

at the low odds, smith looked solid....bailey`s on the downside and will struggle vs a better boxer that`s the naturally bigger guy...

a puncher`s chance?......i guess so....

i was very disappointed that smith couldn`t take out estrada...after hurting him to the body early,he let up on estrada....he could have stopped him....

i may have bet that smith get`s the stoppage....but he appeared to lack that finisher`s instinct in his last fight..a solid body puncher..really should have stopped estrada......and the only way bailey wins is by k.o....

Sphinc,

Good Assesment! And I must commend you on your 4000th post. It would probably take me 7 more years to reach that number.
