Eagles....a little worse

Top draft choice still unsigned and the death of Defensive Coordinator will hurt...

See I thought they were going in a great direction picked up a top 5 tackle in the league and then had an excellent draft with Maclin and McCoy coming aboard to help the offense. But the news about Johnson is not only sad but will hurt and of course they lost Dawkins as well. Time will only tell with McDermott but I thought the Eagles would represent the NFC in the Super Bowl and now they got some obstacles

If Warner stays healthy, the Cardinals will be a better team this season.

9 of 11 starters return on defense. Everyone on offense comes back except for Edge. Might have an upgade at RB now with Hightower and Beanie Wells sharing the load.

AZ still not getting any respect though...

Rams will be better. First, they can't be any worse. Second, they have a new GM and Head Coach that are football guys and understand to win you have to run the football and stop the run and are focusing on the physical play. Lastly, the NFC West is pathetic and the worst division in football and the best team Arizona will be average at best. They will finish around 6-10 to 8-8.

An Arizona team "average at best"? I still dont get why people think this.

This team brings everyone back. Outside of Warner, they are a very young team that is only getting better. You can argue they SHOULD be better this year. A team "better" that went to the Super Bowl last year is "average at best"?

OK....

And by the way, no way your Rams even sniff .500 this year. It will be a miracle if they can stay out of the NFC West basement.

He probably thinks that cause he is close to the truth. Maybe they will be better this year, but don't tell me just cause you went to the super bowl last year you had a great team. Truth is you were average last year and got hot at the right time. If I'm not mistaken wasn't arizona 9-7 last year. And oh by the way 3-7 outside their crappy division. Then arizona had the lucky fortune of playing 2 home playoff games to teams that not only play in way better divisions but also had better records than them.

Its a matter of perspective. You can say we got hot. I say we underachieved in the regular season and it took a young team a while to get things together.

The Cards beat an ATL team that most "experts" thought was better. Went on the road and confused Delhome into 5 INTS. Beat an Eagles team that everyone says is going to be the best team in the NFC this year. 2 MINUTES away from winning the Super Bowl against the storied Steelers.

Im sorry. One game is a fluke. 4 is not. Look at the whole body of work when evaluating last years Cards team. Not just the regular season.

Last time I checked, postseason was more important anyway.

Tampa Bay = Worse

Agree it would be startling if they could match last season's 7 wins.

But I am intrigued by the offense and think that at long last they could be able to score above the league average, something they never did in Gruden's last six seasons.

Tampa had 9 wins last year. They are staring 4-12 or worse right in the face this season. Added bonus they signed Freeman today and gave him way to much money.

Oops..my bad....They collapsed so badly once the team utterly blew Gruden off that the non-playoff finish smelled much more like a 7-9

Here is what I'm saying. If Arizona was in any of the other 3 divisions in the NFC they wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs. They would've finished 4th in the NFC South, 3rd in the NFC North, and 4th in the NFC East. Also in the last 6 games of the regular season they went 2-4. That isn't a young team getting its stuff together as the season went on. Lastly that same Carolina team beat Arizona earlier in the season and Phily completly destoyed them in week 13. They were fortunate that because they won their division and Phily and Atlanta were wildcards that they got to play those games at home even though the other teams had better records and played in better divisions. I like Arizona, i really do, but you cant tell me they would've even had a .500 record had they played in the NFC East last year.

Yes that was tough to watch. 9-3 and sitting pretty as maybe a 1 or 2 seed and then lose 4 in a row including two at home to teams with losing records.

I dont necessarily disagree with anything you just posted. If AZ was in the NFC East last year they would not have made the playoffs. I agree with you there. But that was LAST year.

Im looking big picture here. A team that made huge strides their last four games last year. A team that returns just about every key piece. A team that is young. A team that plays in argueably the worst division in football.

I just dont see them being an "average" team going into the season.

I agree with you. I don't see them as average this year and I never said they would be this year. I think largly last year they were but this year they should be a good football team that has a decent shot of winning the division and getting back to the playoffs. Allthough I think Seattle has a shot to win the division this year as well. In the division San Fran and Seattle are improved. Arizona better do better than 3-7 outside the division cause I don't think they go 6-0 in division this year.

Relax, coach I am not attacking your beloved Cardinals. Remember they once played in St. Louis where I still would rather watch them in the old open stadium than this new joke of a Dome with the pathetic Rams. But as Easy Money mentioned they are just an decent team in the NFC in a horrible division. This year they play a good AFC South Division. They may win their division but that doesn't mean they are a great team. Also, they have been a horrible road team so they need to change that also. And you should know the odds of Warner being healthy free all year is minimal. Good luck with Leinart. Lastly, there really is something historical with the Super Bowl "hangover". I will give you this though. Christine, Ashleigh, and Allie as new cheerleadingers does make the squad better this year!

Now that the Vikings have to roll with TJack or Sage, I think they will be worse as they didn't add anyone this year and lost their veteran center Birk. Looking at 9-7 and maybe a 1st round playoff loss this year. Plus Pat and Kevin Williams will probably be suspended for 4 games sometime soon.

I think the Jets go 10-6, Just on their Defense

I know that's the Jets Fan in me, but their Defense is Much Better this year.
IMO, Defense wins games

10-6? You must be betting the jets to win over 7 games with the nfl win total action.

Jets dont look like a .500 team this year imo.
