Thinking about it again there is no negative publicity involved I am just posting what they have done.

So I will name them: The book is Unibet

The reason I was hesitant to post this is that whenever I say something negative about a book I am usually flamed for doing so.

I am not saying anything negative about the book though (in fact I enjoy playing there) just their rules in this situation. I expected my bet to be voided. I guess I might have seen things different if I was on Miami.

Good luck jack. Would not have figured a book would do such. I would think many will try to buyback on SD @ 6.

Thanks General,

I have just seen some pictures of the wild fires on the news. Some people have lost everything they own and can only look on powerless to act as their lifes work goes up in smoke.

Kind of puts losing 3 points value on a MNF match in perspective.

Good luck to those caught up in this disaster.

Exactly my point......Here's my post in another thread (regarding changing peoples picks from Miami -3 to -6)............ Sorry guys, maybe I'm wrong, but I don't agree with this. I believe all wagers should stand and you should get the line you originally wagered on. Here's my arguement....... Example: When we, the bettor, take a team, let's say, -4, and just before game~time, the teams star QB gets scratched from illness, etc.........Are the books going to say "Hey, they took the team at -4 , since something unexpected came up, we better give them the line at a pick'em?

So, here we have all of these books cancelling or changing everyone's bet that was Miami -3, to Miami -6, or voiding the bet.....Yet, on the other hand, for many of those who had San Diego +3, they don't want to change that selection to +6!!

Las Vegas rules provide that, because of the site change, all wagers for the game at San diego will be cancelled.Wagering for the game in Arizona will be offered as a new event.Which is why I believe all books should honor Vegas rules.Only consistent method.I personally would not play at a book that didn't.

NOTE SITE CHANGE
MONDAY NIGHTS FOOTBALL GAME BETWEEN MIAMI AND SAN DIEGO
WILL BE PLAYED IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA AT 6:05PM PST.
THE SITE CHANGED IS DUE TO FORREST FIRES IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA.

If thats the case if I lose tonight, Ill have a claim cause this game is in Tempe AZ, not Phoenix.........LOL.....

Hache man,

If you take time to read this thread in detail before you post you will see that the book refusing to void my bet Chargers (+3) is an unusual case (they don't use vegas rules) and it is actually acting against its own financial interests by not voiding these bets.

After speaking to their risk assessment manager he revealed they have a large exposure on Miami as the line (-3) was left up overnight and pounded. It would be in their interests to void the wagers but due to no allowance for this action in their unique rules they are doing the honourable thing and allowing bets to stand.

It is unlucky for me as I was on the Chargers but it is lucky for those on the Dolphins who will have their tickets (-3) honoured.

Jack, so now you are defending them?

In your first paragraph Jack, you didn't say anything about the book honoring everyone else's Miami wagers at -3. If that's the case, then good for them, they are doing the right thing in my opinion.

anyone have miami-3 at unibet and can confirm the bet was not cancelled?

it would be interesting to see if this book just stuck it to the dog players.
