He's a very good player who this year finally rounded back into form after being hampered by injuries. He put in a nice run and beat some pretty good players but really seemed to lose his form again late in the season, losing to guys like Martin Rodriguez, Nicolas Mahut, and Robby Ginepri. If you see him play you'll notice he seems to lose his focus easily when on court.
Anyway, with the brief layoff he should be able to fly through the first few rounds and probably surprise a few along the way but I just can't envision him beating the guys in the top five.
He's ranked 33rd right now but I could easily see him ultimately in the top 15. If he can stay healthy.
