I guess either:

a) He didn't play in the World Series last year

or

b) You didn't watch it.

David Ortiz is better in the clutch
Ichiro is a better hitter
Vladimir Guerrero is better all-around (if you take into account his cannon arm)

I was waiting for stupid comment in this thread...there it is.

let's add another amazing stat in there...

2001 93 SO
2002 69 SO
2003 65 SO
2004 52 SO
2005 34 SO

He's lowered his strike out total every year...looks like he's on pace for 60 some this year. That is truly remarkable in this day of age with everyone striking out all the time!

Viking,

In your search for stupid posts, I think you missed THIS stupid post.

So you write:

52 SO in 2004
34 SO in 2005

The 34 SO in 2005 is for HALF a season and would prorate to about 66 for the year.

So if the total goes from 52 to 66, how the heck is that "AN AMAZING STAT" anymore?????

Now maybe that wasn't stupid, maybe it was just dumb.

Take care, Einstein.

Don't know what youre trying to say there buddy.?? I pointed out that he's lowered his SO total every year and then said he's on pace for somewhere in the 60s this year? Sorry I didn't say 66...i figured 60 something is a good enough guess since we won't know until the season is over? GOOD ONE...ANOTHER STUPID COMMENT BY HUGGY.

HIS STRIKEOUT TOTALS ARE TRULY AMAZING...better go all caps, i'll leave the bold out though

That great hitter Ortiz....already has 60 SO!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA:lolBIG:

viking, we get it, you love Albert Pujols and you love the Cards. They'll make the playoffs, fail to win the WS, and life will go on...

You started it, Einstein.

You can have your wetdreams about Pujols, but even if he has 60, it isn't LOWERED from 52, Einstein.

So there is no "amazing stat"!!!!

WHY is that so hard to understand?

How did I know that was coming? If I spent my nights losing sleep over the Cubs I'd be a zombie. :smoker2:

Ichiro better than Big Albert? Pujols is everything Ichiro is with power. I'd have to say he's the best right now and will be at the end of the season.

lol

Ok, you win. Pujols is everything Ichiro is, and you had the facts to prove it too.

Pujols is better defensively because he plays 1B, I guess and Ichiro plays right field. We all know that playing 1B is harder than playing RF.

Pujols has a better arm, because he can gun down players like Ichiro can with that cannon arm he has.

Pujols is obviously a better base-stealer because with that speed, Ichiro is never going to catch up with him.

So you're right and I am wrong.

PS: We can either have a discussion, or you can spout off. You chose to spout off, so the discussion ends right here.

Have a nice day.
