Iowa's defense is getting better. West Coast offense with short passes is very effective to open up enough running to keep PSU honest. Iowa's motto is next man in, for running back it's last one standing. Starting RB now is a walk on from the same town that has produced 2 NFL players- both were walk ons. 2 nd in line is a Redshirt freshman. Paterno was Ferentz idol growing up in Penn. and he will have no mercy

Hawks roll.

The biggest problem I had though was Okla St's lack of urgency in the 2nd half. The two scoring drives took forever and we showed no hurry up offense of any kind.
AGREED TOTALLY, but it was due to the coaches lack of confidence in Woods' passing ability.

well,i wish you guys luck....i just don`t see anything that would indicate a big play on missou.......they hung with texas, who appears to be way overrated....and all these defensive stats....vs baylor....colorado...ball st...troy and arkansas st?

while okla st has road wins over ucla and colorado....and the colorado game was over at the half...

i don`t see it.....

but,i wish you all the best.....g.l.

maybe the fact that it is homecoming weekend at PSU and a rivalry game that the line is in PSU's favor?

Not taking a side, but I like the Iowa/PSU UNDER 38.5. PSU D great, offense sux. Iowa defense great, offense has sputtered on the road. GL

mizzou also has two TE's that go over 270 and they use a 2 TE set most of the time. Both of them have pretty good hands. It will be interesting to see how OSU handles those two guys...

I like my Alma Mater in this one. We're still looking for our first Big 10 conference win of the season and this is a good spot to catch Iowa off a letdown after a monster win against Ohio State. Have to pay my respects to Ferentz who lost his dad this week. He was at the funeral yesterday.

Good luck today.

Very good points boom boom! I am an OSU fan and season ticket holder and was sickened by the amount of clock that was wasted in those drives in the late 3rd/4th quarter...it was pathetic. If they don't think woods can run the hurry up offense, then they should have put in Pena! And all those run plays...you can't run when you are down 4 scores and only 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. It was almost like they were just playing to make the score closer instead of actually trying to win and that is not acceptable.

I hate to say it, but my money will be on Mizzou this weekend. Our defense is missing Peterson and Williams and I just don't see us slowing down Smith. Mizzou has a good defense and if Gundy tries to run it down their throats and not mix in the play action, then I think we are in for a long day.

Looking forward to the OU game next week! :heh:

Don't count us out. I'm not saying I'm betting it, but I'm interested to see how we come out after last week's debacle. I'm looking for a much more inspired effort.

there may be a new qb playing for OSU today and it might not be Pena.

From some of the things I learned last night, I increased my oklahoma state bet. That's all I'm going to say...

Shortbus...

I can only assume you mean Bobby Reed. From what I hear, he will be a stud, but if he does play keep in mind he will be a fresman playing his first game on the road in the Big 12...not exactly the ideal situation.
