And what happens in Forumville, since its inception is when you hold strong views you make bitter enemies. And when this happens it gets personal. The actual topic of the thread is tossed aside, and now it's, "Hey, that guy said something really mean to me. I can't just let it sit. I'm gonna get that Fucker!" And a few minutes later one's a Pedo and the other is a Jew-hater.

In Rules for Radicals, Alinsky teaches his "community organizing" students that "ridicule is man's most powerful weapon"... and he's right. Sadly, his shit works politically. I've lived it.
But here's the good news and sobering truth: ridicule and political correctness are the ONLY reasons why the left prevail politically as often as they do. Remove and/or neutralize those two factors from the equation and the sands shift rapidly and dramatically, something the most skilled and savvy conservative politicians can do.

As for me I like to take politics issue by issue. I concur with you on certain subjects and on others we disagree. I hope that doesn't mean in your view I have a mental disorder. I see your tenacity as both a blessing and a curse. I've said many times on here that Obama has not done a very good job as President. I did not vote for him in 2012 so I certainly am not defending him. Most politicians are dishonest and will lie to get what they want. I'm not being unreasonable, I'm just being respectful of our President. I always am no matter who it is or what he stands for. Maybe it's just me but I think a person that gets to that position deserves respect no matter what.
