Yep! I've watched everyone of his starts. He has a dead arm. Velocity is no longer there. All he has is his slider and that is hit and miss. No change up. When he throws his fastball over the plate, he is an easy sitting duck for the long ball. Gave up a 3 run homer to a pitcher last start. He is a definite play against.

He looked pretty good today...but really there is no consistency in the league today except for the top 10 pitchers...example, Zach Duke today, he looked like Cy Young his last out and was a bust today...

He was pitching against Arizona. Not exactly presently hitting anyone. Sanchez, Lincecum, and Johnson all looked good against the D-Backs. They can't hit.

Johnson will have very good days and very bad days this year...not bad for an oldtimer, he will get his due at number 300 this year and bow out..

Another example is Aaron Harang.
He's one of my persnal faves, dropped 25 lbs this season, and should be 2007 Harang, but which one will show up?

That's the main reason I think he is still pitching this year to accomplished the 300+ career wins. Only a elite few have accomplished this the past 150+ years. I think he knows this will automatically get him into the hall of fame once he accomplishes this goal as he knows the history of baseball. If he had done this say 3 years ago I think he would have retired by now.
