nice story scott --- sounds like a good subplot for a matrix movie.

btw i posted elsewhere i heard a story Pinnacle paid 30k to stop the attack from russian hackers. a couple of days ago i spoke to a senior person at pinnacle and asked if same was correct. he said "true" but he wasn't really interested in discussing so not all the details may be correct.

Thanks Scott. Someone else posted (Java) that DB eventually used the guys who protected EBAY from attacks and it worked. Maybe the books can contact Dana and he can get the folks who could help them? At least worth a try?
