Is any team stupid enough to give 2 first round picks for Lamar Jackson?

They won a playoff game because they played against Kirk Cousins + a college secondary in basically a college conference

They’re a below average team. They were bad down the stretch.

Ravens were a good team until Lamar went out two years in a row.
Playoff wins count.. You make a big deal out of of them when your team pulls one off.. Lamar sure wouldn't have got it done.

Yeah they know they can’t compete with Cincinnati for 5-10 years.

Might as well start the rebuild :)
They know they can't compete with the Steelers for the next 5-10 years. That's the team they actually look at.

If you think about it, the only reason the Steelers took a step back in the first place was because LeVeon Bell and Antonio Brown went all crazy diva royally screwing over that franchise. It took a while to get back on track, but now they look like they're assembling the pieces to make a run.

Joey B was sacked 5 times against the Chiefs and 4 times against the Ravens. Can he improvise other than falling down like a bowling pin when his pocket collapses? The top DCs are always first to crack the code on QBs, then the rest of the league follows.

I’ll always respect the Steelers

But they have a lot of work to do. Bengals should be heavy favorites to win the division this time.

I'm not arguing that. And going into this year, they should be the favorite.
Last year, you could get 12-15/1 on the Steelers coming into the season... not so much this year.

I sweear; the majority of FANS are idiots.

They just never understand how this stuff works.

I say this after reading the Colts message boards. They are the type to say "trade up this year" and then next year bitch becasuse the colts were stupid enough to trade up last year and don't have a 1st in 2024 and still stink.

Girl I went to hs with wants the colts to trade up to take CJ Stroud. I set her straight.

assuming Pickett makes the typical strides you expect from rookie to sophomore season I think the Steelers have done a great job in the offseason in shoring up the interior offensive line and middle LB spots which were their glaring weaknesses. the Cam Sutton loss is mitigated by the Patrick Petersen addition so I think they're pretty well set in their starting 22. Depth is badly needed at the DT position and at Safety but a Lamar-less Ravens makes the Steelers the solid #2 in the division yet bookies have posted them as the runaway loser of the North.

I'm not the biggest Pickett fan but I think an average Kenny P can get them 9 wins against a pretty weak schedule. Outside of Cincy 2x the only really strong team they play is SF at home. non-div aways are Vegas, Indy, Rams, Seattle, and Houston

like Kenny or not that over 8.5 is pretty tasty

The steelers are a 1st class organization. At worst, they are always contending for a playoff spot.

They've had what, 3 or 4 coaches in the past 40 years?

Baltimore is a 1st class organization as well. They are showing Lamar that NO TEAM wants to pay him the big dollars that he is looking for (and give up 2 first round picks).

Maybe Lamar should sign an agent approved by the NFLPA? Guy wants MEGA bucks but doesnt want to pay a 2-3% commission fee?

I think an NFL team would rather deal with Drew R, David C, or Leigh S, then deal with "Dexter the street agent" who knows nothing about negotating a contract

Agreed on the Steelers, really like the moves they made this off-season. Not a big fan of Pickett, but he showed some improvement down the stretch and should progress a bit more a year two. Harris could explode behind a much improved OL. Still have to navigate around Tomlin though, can’t believe that guy is still their HC, he’s a bonehead and usually costs them a few games a year.

I think the Steelers could be 2nd in the division. I like that pick.

I think they go over 8.5 as well

I’m just saying they aren’t going to touch the Bengals.

Sports agents generally receive between 4 and 15% of the athlete's playing contract, and 10 to 20% of the athlete's endorsement contract, although these figures vary. NFL agents are not permitted to receive more than 3%, and NBA agents not more than 4%, of their client's playing contracts.

wow, i thought nfl agent fees were 12-15% , thanks for posting.

If a player gets Franchised, the commissions are less

If franchised for a 2nd consecutive year, the commissions are even worse. Had an agent's wife tell me this one nite
