It's not even a debate. There is no where to find someone that would even attempt to rationalize a Lebron James trade. There is no trade offer possible that the Cavs would listen to for Lebron. The Pelicans can offer Davis and their next 40 first round draft picks for Lebron and the Cavs would not even consider it. Davis has done absolutely nothing in the NBA. He's putting up Kevin Love type numbers. Definite all-star, possible future MVP... but Lebron can take any team to the promise land and bring a shitload of money in to the organization.

Come on man.
Crazy comments above.

No offense.

But even still I dont think the marketing aspect outweighs the on the court aspect.
Especially when you consider the fact that AD is becoming a marketing draw in his own right. Although not to Lebrons level.

Yeah, it's a tough call. I can say I definitely wouldn't be as confident in my opinion though.

What promise land is he referring to? When did Lebron become Shaq, TD or Kobe? he played on a stacked team and got anal raped 5-0 in the finals and for all practical purposes lost the prior year too in G6

Lmao, Lebron has played in over 11 playoff games every year the past 9 years. We are comparing him to Anthony Davis here, not Michael Jordan or Phil Jackson.

First of all, he's injured most of the time. Second, he didn't even bring his team to the playoffs. Lebron has proven that he can take any scrub ass team to the playoffs and make them a competitor. Even with Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Sideshow Bob, and Mo Williams.

You were talking about a promise land - I just got lost because I didn't know Lebron lives in a promise land - he basically has one ring all while going out of his way to create some sort of dream team that it would be hard not to win with - I'm pretty sure Lebron ends his career with 2 rings of which one is made of brass

The Cavs made the playoffs by default - just like the Nets and 76'ers - all of whom were properly disposed of by SA and LA - I think those 4 NBA Eastern conference teams combined for a total of 3 wins - one in OT and two by 3 total points - fuck, the Cavs were swept by SA and would not have made the playoffs in the west that year

Going forward - Allen Iverson did not "lead" the 76'ers to the finals - nor did the Lebron "lead" the Cavs to the finals - both teams got to the finals by default and proved it with their finals performance - I still chuckle thinking of Bowen blatantly not guarding Lebron and him so scared to shoot

Questionable, simply because the second Lebron left Cleveland they became a shit show. Went from over 50+ nationally televised games to 3 televised games, Forbes said the economy potentially lost over $300 million because of Lebron leaving. Debating Anthony Davis or Lebron is silly. But I will agree my term "promise land" was used incorrectly. He will lead his teams to fight to get to the promise land. Anthony Davis will put up Kevin Love type numbers and the Pelicans will be like the Timberwolves.

The argument isn't about Lebron's performance in the NBA Finals. It's about Anthony Davis or Lebron James.

Except Lebron missed the playoffs in each of his first two seasons.

AD is already better then KL ever was or ever will be.
And the Pelicans will go further then KL ever took the Twolves probably as early as this season.

Considering Kevin Love has never averaged even 1 blocked shot per game in any NBA season (Anthony Davis is currently averaging 4.4), I'm going to say that Anthony Davis will have, actually already does have, a far bigger two way impact than Love ever has.

Yea when he started comparing KL to AD thats when I realized we were nowhere near on the same page or ever will be.

We can argue the LJ vs AD going forward but when you start bringing in KL that tells me we are nowhere near having a level conversation.

And then 9 straight years of being in the Conference Finals. This argument is very silly. The Pelicans would not even think twice about trading Davis for Lebron.

I wasn't comparing them. I think AD is much better than KLove... but KLove has put up some very impressive numbers also. Just arguing that someone is better than Lebron right now. That is super crazy.

Your right.
They probably would not even think once about it.
They would probably laugh Clevelands GM off the phone.

Yes, the New Orleans Pelicans, who no one in the entire world cares about other than homers would laugh about getting Lebron James. Your homerism is out of control.
