Tell me if I'm wrong here but if you've got 100K laying around to throw at a frivolous lawsuit that has almost 0% of winning, should you be playing the lottery in
the first place?

This guy should have sat down & talked to his wife/gf & thought completely about what his actions were & how very low if a percentage he had at winning this case.

Unless I thought I had atleast a 50% or higher chance of winning this case, I wouldn't even think of calling a lawyer, because lawyers just want to get paid & will con you into taking the case & giving you false hopes.

No tickey no shirtey. The ticket said it was for the next draw. Next time buy your ticket earlier. If I was representing this guy I would have told him he had a 0.00% change of winning this case and quite frankly, he didn't deserve a nickel from the lottery. This was entirely his fault and he has no claim. Take a hike loser!

I find it more suspicious that technically the first ticket printed for following lotto draw was a winner to the previous.

On the flip side let's say his ticket would have actually won the following week instead and he goes to claim but the Lotto commission refuses to pay citing that his ticket was meant for the previous weeks drawing due to the processing delay. Wonder if the guy and his lawyers would agree with that scenario.

If that scenario happened, I would give him a 70% or higher chance of winning the case.
