? Alex Smith might have a tough time getting his job back. There was a different Smith playing quarterback for the 49ers in London — former Heisman winner Troy Smith— and he could force Mike Singletary's hand when Alex Smith returns from a left shoulder injury. A starter can't lose his job because of an injury? :ohno::ohno:We'll see. In his first NFL start since his rookie year with the Ravens in 2007, T-Smith completed 12 of 19 passes for 196 yards, with a rope of a 28-yard TD pass to Michael Crabtree in the victory against Denver. For just the second time this season, the 49ers (2-6) didn't have an interception, but the stat that really pops out is that T-Smith averaged 10.32 yards per attempt inside his 115.2 passer rating. One game, yes. But one impressive 49ers debut.
