Dont get me wrong, i like a good walkon story and think its an important element to neb/ia success, but they both have way too much of it right now. Too many losses each year for both programs. Iowa has caught fire winning the close ones, but they also get to play off an easy schedule....It wont always be that way, beginning next year.

.....good call, I had a position with NW with all the Iowa injuries.

The NFL talent Iowa is producing with 95% of the recruits not being 5 or 4 star is really incredible.

No Big Ten team has produced more draft picks since 2011, and current team is loaded with such.
#16 nationally in drafted players past 10 seasons...

So funny that this is the season that had been predicted as a possibility the last few years for iowa.
Now it's actually happening under the radar of course.

Beathard has now led IOWA to a 10-0 start and is 11-0 as a starter.

What a season its been! Now they just need to top it off by beating michigan state on saturday to shut everyone the hell up

It's going to look bad if they pull a wisconsin from last year since they really haven't played anyone being in a supposed power conference.

If they get shut out and lose by 59 I agree that would be extremely embarrassing and look bad ! I think it's gonna be a really good game but what the hell do I know! If nebraska can beat em, why cant iowa ? Go Hawkeyes

Northwestern continues to fly under the radar........if NW doesn't lose to IOWA, they would be battling for a playoff spot right now.

Iowa clobbered NW.....NW beat playoff contender Stanford.

Iowa has not trailed in their last 27 quarters of football.......a span of nearly 7 complete games.

It's all about matchups. Iowa will have a hard time attacking MSU's weaknesses, like Nebraska was able to do. Defensively Nebraska and MSU are similar in that the secondary is where you strike them, not running at the teeth of the D. Iowa managed 250 yards and 0 third down conversions against Nebraska. While they may do a little better than that without weather, MSU is even better at defending the run, so it's going to be up to the QB to get somethings done. That and don't expect MSU's QB to just turn the ball over at will like NU. Those guys take care of the ball. MSU wins this thing. They've been building for this moment for a long time now.
