Getting some good insight going in here.

Who is the Pats deep threat? That's where the Ravens D gets exposed. Surprised the Steelers didn't test them much deep, I was really surprised by their game-plan.

The Ravens never have trouble with big backs like Blount, I expect Vareen out of the back field to make a lot of plays. The middle linebackers are having trouble in coverage the last few weeks. I think Daryl Smith is too slow and as good as Mosley is I think he hit the rookie wall a while back.

I really want to bet the Pats but don't like that the line moved off 7 down to 6.5, I know that sounds weird because I'm getting a better #.

I hear you.... for one I like the Patriots - the points. Number 1 seeds off a bye that lost in week 17 have done well in this round over the years. I think Flacco throws an INT or two this game.

If he does patriots will not waste the chance of turning it into points. With this and the Pats normal scoring drives this game may get ugly...

Flaco in last 8 playoff games 16 TDs 0 Interceptions, could be off a bit but 0 interceps accurate

I believe the most important reason the Ravens have always beaten the Pats in the playoffs is because of their outstanding ability to push up the middle and be overpowering, preventing Brady from stepping up and being where he does his most significant damage. As well of course the outstanding talent and play of the entire team offense, special and defense, along with excellent coaching and game planning which usually results in a game with a complexion suiting Balt."s style and strength

I think the only time they didnt beat them in the playoffs, NE was life and death to stop their winning drive and eventually they couldn't as the ravens drove the length of the field and Lee Evans dropped as easy a 7 yd td catch as could be for NEs 4 point win (i think most or all the games were played up in NE)

Did you watch the steelers game? The reason Big Ben didn't throw more often because we were in his face all day. He didn't have time for deep bombs. We have the best pass rush defense with suggs and doom. They will get to brady just like the did big ben.

I know past history is just that, but Bal is 2-1 against NE in NE against Belichick in the playoffs. If the Ravens get that pressure on Brady consistently they can win this game.

I think I read that the last time all 4 top seeds won in the divisional round was 2004.

Like the Balty D to move Brady "off his spot". Very suspect of the Balty O. Like under the point total. Both teams slowly moving the ball. Don't see a shootout, but ya never know.

I am also a hardcore Raven fan and I do not see any let down at all. If this was a regular season game then yes it would probably be a let down. We are the only team that has a winning record against the pats in the playoff at their house. The last time the pats played a team with a great pass rush they got crushed by the KC Chiefs. This game will not be a blow out either way but I think the ravens + points is the smarter bet.

I would like to believe you, however those past games between these teams are irrelevant IMO.

This Patriots defense is vastly improved. They are very solid against the run at 3.9 YPC allowed, and the back 4 everyone knows about is damn good, very good. McCourty and Chung at Safety with Revis and Browner opposite each other all 4 playing good this year tough to beat this secondary without a 3rd option that isn't a running back or TE (since Jamie Collins erases those). Jamie Collins also playing out of his mind on defense, and with their pass rusher Chandler Jones back I don't see how the Ravens can sustain much offense.

On the flip side other than Webb (who has been up and down himself this year- by his standards) the Ravens secondary is very bad. Edelman is still running elite routes and that will get open against BAL secondary, as well LaFell has been a mini revelation for the Pats this year should be getting open plenty also. Of course Gronk will get open his fair share, though i dont think he has as great of a game as people think because the Ravens LBs can cover really well. BAL's defense could give its team a punchers chance if it can get to Brady and strip sack him or cause picks (KC did that to him early in season). Suggs Dumervil and Ngata is more than enough fire power, but you have to think Belichick is planning for that seeing the eye popping #s those guys have put up this year namely Dumervil.

Patriots -7 is my favorite spread, though I've made a big play on a chalk bet Pats ML Seattle ML parlay

if Flacco turns it over at all they will lose. He has to play a perfect game for the ML. And the defense will have to get to Brady, cause turnovers or totally disrupt the offense. Long shots IMO, but it's football

What do you mean by let downs? If you mean upsets, they happen every year.........

Like BAL limping into the playoffs, only to get up for a game vs their biggest rival, in a stadium they have never won a playoff game, and have a hard time winning at night in said stadium, right after PIT lost Leveon Bell. That was a HUGE game for BAL. They knew it and took advantage of the situation. I don't see them having anywhere near the same success this weekend.

Also side note for those chatting about BAL success vs NE in playoffs. Last 2 times, 2012 and 2013, they played for AFC championship. This time it's in Division round and NE had a bye to sit back watch.

Yep, it's the defenses that will make the difference in this game. I don't see BAL scoring much unless they can get Brady to turn the ball over. NE will score enough though, somewhere in the 24-30 pts range.
Also, like your plays. Good Luck.

Kubiak= Kubrick? Are you another one of the "lets bench Joe Flacco" fans?

kubiak has led this team to the highest yards and point totals in franchise history. Ravens are lucky to have him
Actually, a little surprised that some of these teams with head coaching vacancies aren't interviewing him. Bad quarterback situation at Houston when he was canned but Kubiak can coach.

He can coach offense barely, the problem with that is that his system is so vanilla it requires great oline play and a rb that knows how to run his system to even have a chance, all d coordinators have to do is watch film of his and either shannahans offense over the last 20 years to scheme for it, he literally has no wrinkles to it. As a head coach he is one of the least inspiring people on the planet. The two years he had success in Houston were despite his spinelessness. If someone wants a coach that will never take an in game risk they can have him, even when the Texans had good seasons the whole fanbase called for his head because of his inability to have balls. The only reason he has had success with Harbaugh is because Harbaugh is the exact opposite and makes him take chances. In summary: Fuck Gary Kubiak

Looks like Monroe should play. That gives the Ravens run game a huge boost moving Yanda back to guard.
