He is only good for a year maybe two at most when he goes to a new team. Seems as though he gets exposed after that.Rex Ryan is a hell of a defensive coach, be pretty cool if the Pats brought him in to be DC after this year. They have the CBs to run his scheme now
I could see him taking some time off to get into TV but he won't be short of offers to be a DC
I'll make my point again....he did that in his first 2 years. He hasn't made a legitimate shot at the playoffs since. No, the Jets have been very devoid of offensive talent relative to their opponents the last 5 years.
Maybe 2 huh? He beat Brady and Manning in the playoffs in a span of 7 days and held both of them under 20 pts. Then lost to a superior Steelers team on the road in the AFCCG. That consitutes a maybe?
Until the Ravens did it in 2012 that was the first team to beat Brady/Manning in the same year.
Yeah when your offense sucks in the NFL, it tends to be hard to win.
He is a defensive coach and has nothing to do with offense. He isn't the GM either. Belichick made the playoffs 1x with the Browns with a better QB, you think he's a bad coach too? He has a career losing record in games GOAT Brady isn't the QB.
You can't just cherry pick his successes and failures then makeup some narrative like "Oh see after 2 years he is done" There is pretty much nothing to indicate his coaching abilities regress after a few years, he just overachieved with an average team his first 2 years and expectations got too high.
How come nobody else has been able to beat Brady and Manning in the AFC in the same year? They've both been in the AFC playoffs in the same year I think 12 times now? Not exactly a small sample.
Just buy the book, 14.99, read it during a snowy day and embrace the mans defensive mind.
So when he is void of "good players" like this year, he bears no responsibility on the performance of the team he is the head coach of but when he has more talented players (like in Baltimore), he receives full credit?
