Today I sent my intention to resign from The Intercept, the news outlet I co-founded in 2013 with Jeremy Scahill and Laura Poitras, as well as from its parent company First Look Media.
The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression.
The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s conduct. Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication.
I had no objection to their disagreement with my views of what this Biden evidence shows: as a last-ditch attempt to avoid being censored, I encouraged them to air their disagreements with me by writing their own articles that critique my perspectives and letting readers decide who is right, the way any confident and healthy media outlet would. But modern media outlets do not air dissent; they quash it. So censorship of my article, rather than engagement with it, was the path these Biden-supporting editors chose.

BREAKING: Judicial Watch Sues for Unmasking Records: Biden, Top Obama Officials ‘Unmasked’ General Flynn
Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the National Security Agency (NSA) for records of requests by former Vice President Joe Biden and other top Obama administration officials, including President Obama’s chief of staff, to “unmask” Lieutenant General (Retired) Michael Flynn (Judicial Watch v. National Security Agency(No. 1:20-cv-03088)). The term “unmasking” refers to the practice of disclosing to political appointees the identities of U.S. citizens referenced in intelligence surveillance of foreign nationals. U.S. citizens’ names are typically redacted from such reports unless a specific request is made to “unmask” them. Judicial Watch filed this lawsuit after the NSA failed to respond to two separate September 1, 2020 FOIA requests.

Based on our investigation and recent press reports, we are increasingly concerned that the surveillance of U.S. persons affiliated with the Trump campaign began earlier than the opening of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation in late July 2016.”

As everyone now knows, the national political media are engaged in an active cover-up to protect Joe Biden from the exploding scandal surrounding his involvement in the shady business dealings of his son, Hunter Biden. The allegations against Biden are beyond credible and involve confirmed documents; two first-hand, on-the-record whistleblowers, and no denials from Joe or Hunter Biden.
What’s more, there is an active FBI investigation into Hunter’s business dealings, including money laundering.

Democrats are expressing unease as the election enters its final stretch, acknowledging that progressives are not seeing sufficient voter turnout in Florida’s Miami-Dade — the county in which Democrats need a strong showing to flip the state blue — particularly among young, minority voters.
Statewide, Republicans have outpaced their opposition in early voting, holding a 474,229 early voter advantage and narrowing the Democrats’ overall lead (which they hold because of a sizeable increase in absentee voting) to less than 164,000 on Friday. As of Thursday, 53 percent of Democrat voters had turned out to vote in the crucial blue county compared to the 59 percent turnout for Republicans. The six-point lead is “twice the margin Republicans had at this point in 2016,” according to Politico.
“Among Hispanic voters, who make up nearly 70 percent of the county’s population, the deficit is even bigger — 9 points,” the outlet reported.
Matt Isbell, a “Florida-based Democratic data analyst,” told Politico the issue with Hispanic turnout appears to be worse in Miami-Dade than nearby counties.
“Democrats have a big turnout issue in the Hispanic community in Miami-Dade,” he said, noting that Hispanic turnout for Republicans is 57 percent compared to 48 percent for Democrats.

Filmmaker and liberal activist Michael Moore said Thursday on Hill.TV’s “Rising” that polls indicating that President Donald Trump was behind Democratic nominee Joe Biden were not correct because he argued the Trump vote was “always being undercounted.”
Moore said, “It’s awful news that Biden is ahead by 7 points in Michigan, and I have to fight against this constantly. I need to remind people that the poll back in July said at that point that Biden was ahead, in Michigan, by 16 points. Trump has cut that in half. Trump has tightened virtually every one of these swing states to the point where this morning, Biden is 5 points ahead in Wisconsin. He’s maybe 3 points ahead in Florida, 2 points ahead in Arizona.”
He continued, “Listen, don’t believe these polls, first of all. And second of all, the Trump vote is always being undercounted. Filmmaker and liberal activist Michael Moore said Thursday on Hill.TV’s “Rising” that polls indicating that President Donald Trump was behind Democratic nominee Joe Biden were not correct because he argued the Trump vote was “always being undercounted.”
Moore said, “It’s awful news that Biden is ahead by 7 points in Michigan, and I have to fight against this constantly. I need to remind people that the poll back in July said at that point that Biden was ahead, in Michigan, by 16 points. Trump has cut that in half. Trump has tightened virtually every one of these swing states to the point where this morning, Biden is 5 points ahead in Wisconsin. He’s maybe 3 points ahead in Florida, 2 points ahead in Arizona.”
He continued, “Listen, don’t believe these polls, first of all. And second of all, the Trump vote is always being undercounted. Pollsters, when they actually call a real Trump voter, the Trump voter is very suspicious of the deep state calling them and asking them who they’re voting for. It’s all fake news to them, remember. It is not an accurate count. I think the safe thing to do is — this is not scientific, I’m just saying from my experience of being a Michigander — whatever they are saying the Biden lead is, cut it in half right now in your head. Cut it in half, and now you’re within the 4-point margin of error. That’s how close this is. That’s how desperately close this is.”
