The CDC changes some guidance about how long you should quarantine during a COVID infection. "The idea of if a person is without symptoms and infected that they need to be isolated for five days—normally that would be 10 days," said Dr. Fauci, "The CDC decided that they would cut that down to five days.

My own view of Covid, Omicron, Delta and other mutations and variants which may develop moving further and how to deal with
it can be compared using a baseball analogy:
A hotshot young baseball player who has been knocking the cover off of the ball in minor leagues with almost
unbelievable stats in batting average, home runs rbi's, etc. is called to the major leagues.
He is in the starting lineup right away and continues what he was doing before he was called up.
Opposing pitchers coaches and pitchers on the other teams try to figure out his weaknesses at the plate and by trial and error and
finally figure out that he has troubled hitting say a curveball in the high area of the strike zone.
Well lo and behold, the different pitchers around the league try this approach and our superstud's fantastic statistics
tail off quite a bit.
However, the wise hitting coach of the phenom and the phenom himself practice on learning how to hit the pitch
which has weakened his performance by changing his stance and other mechanics when he was hitting.
Eventually they succeed and once again our hitter terrorizes the pitchers of opposing teams.
However, the pitching coaches and the pitchers themselves of the other teams continue to work on finding other
aspects of pitching to the batter with other pitches, setting him up and a lot of other ways which they think will
work and eventually succeed in at least making him less effective when he hits.
This sets off another chain reaction where the pitching coaches and our superstud attempt and succeed with countering
what the other teams have done.
This back and forth continues until one side or the other and/or neither succeeds.
The obvious comparison to Covid and its variants as they do while not having a mind of their own in our sense of the word(for that matter
maybe the do), is that it Covid has already shown that it can and will evolve and do what is necessary to at least call into question
what it has been treated with so far in the way of vaccines.
The point with Covid is as is the case with the superstar is that no one should assume its "Caso Cerrado" at this point as this Virus
COULD still be far from over, meaning that physicians, the pharmaceutical companies, governmental officials and the people themselves
should still be on full alert asto what could occur next and be prepared as well as they can to deal with it if it continues to
progress!!
